I've used Unitrends,VMware, and Veeam.

We used Veeam, and we decided to switch to Nakivo due to the easier interface and more straightforward approach.

Previously we had a custom backup procedure. We switched due to the impracticality of maintaining that system and the ease of use of Nakivo.

I used Veeam before, however, it is much more expensive. That said, it does the same thing.

We switched products since we needed something easier to manage and set up and something more reliable. Nakivo has been all that for us.

The backup and replication method for most solutions is the same. For example, Nakivo and Veeam are similar, but Veeam has many options we will never use, and we get a lot of questions about features customers don't need.

It's more complicated to perform the same jobs using Veritas, which is designed for huge companies, like telecoms and multinational companies. It's more of an enterprise solution, so the price is much higher.

I used Veeam previously. I switched mainly because of the problems I always encountered while trying to order Veeam. This company is the absolute worst in the business - not to mention the price of a license.

We used Veeam, and we still have legacy systems that use Veeam. We are switching because of the price advantage Nakivo provides.

We have changed from a previous system because that product was too expensive to renew and we needed a Windows license to install the backup system.

We tested Veeam, however, the price didn't seem worth it. Nakivo performs the same functions for a better price.

Previously we use MicroFocus VM Explorer (formerly Trilead VM Explorer).

Upgrading the vSphere platform makes VM Explorer no more able to support new environments. Further, we need a more comprehensive backup solution.

We used Symantec Backup Exec and tried Veeam.

We did use a different solution. We switch as the last solution was very expensive.

We previously used Veeam Backup. We switched to NAKIVO Backup & Replication because it is simpler, more understandable, and cheaper than Veeam.

I didn't have another solution previously.

We used the Windows Server Backup which was unreliable.

We also used the Easeus TODO Backup, which had lots of failed backups due to files in the network sharing in the same folder as the backup job (previous backups causing errors).

Our previous backup solution was a self-made server script without replication capabilities and only backed up at a file system level, not at a block level.

We did not previously use a different solution.

We used another solution but the performance and stability were not comparable to that offered by Nakivo.

I'm still using Veeam Backup and Replication, but since this solution had huge problems backing up our file server (5 TB), I switched to Nakivo for some servers and will be completely replacing replacing Veeam by the end of its maintenance.

We did not use a different solution prior to implementing this product.

I have previously used VMPro, Veeam, and Actifio.

We used mainly Veeam previously and searched for a solution for smaller customers, where the price level was lower.

Our previous solution became too bloated and cumbersome to use. We got sick of waiting five seconds for screens to load.

We previously used Windows Backup, however, we needed something more.

I did previously use Acronis.

Nakivo, overall, provided a more complete, simpler, and cost-effective solution - particularly in the virtual environment.

We did not use a different solution. We tried a number of different products out, however, we did not commit to anything as they didn't fit our needs.

I have used other solutions and I wound up sticking with Nakivo because it is more versatile and it is able to work with systems other than Microsoft. You can get it running in many different ways. I am just running the previous build VM, but I also have a 12 terabytes Synology NAS unit here. I can actually install it directly on that and not even have to create a virtual machine. It runs great without any extra setup. So I am using Nakivo for versatility, mostly.

I still use Veeam Backup and Replication as the main source of backup jobs, but Nakivo is very attractive and offers the same functionality at a very interesting price.

We used another product in the past. It lacked some important features and we decided to switch. After having tested some other products, we choose Nakivo Backup & Replication.

They had no previous backup system.

Previously, we used Veritas BackupExec and we changed due to the ease of use of Nakivo and the LCO.

Our previous solution had less viability, fewer options, and was very expensive to utilize cloud offloading with it.

We tried several competitors' software solutions, including Veeam Backup and Replication, but we have to say that Nakivo is the best choice when it comes to quality/cost ratio.

In fact, the licensing model gives the opportunity to offer a good price to the customer while maintaining, as a partner, a good margin.

Other than that, the functions that this software offers are comparable or even better to the competitors. For example, Nakivo can use an NFS share as a repository natively, without relying on other servers, which is a plus in a full linux environment.

There are plenty of options these days, but Nakivo is a strong contender.

We've used many other solutions however, Nakivo is a good standard for us.

We did not use another solution prior to Nakivo.

We also work with Veeam.

Veeam was the first solution that started to think about visualization backups. They were the first who started to offer this backup for a virtualized environment. Nakivo were the second and they basically cloned Veeam Backup. They created a cheap clone of Veeam Backup and the prices were much less than Veeam. 

We did not use another similar solution prior to implementing Nakivo.

I have experience with Veeam from about four or five years ago when I used it. These two backup solutions are working well and there is no problem between them. I don't know the differences.

Yes, we used Commvault, but it is very complicate and not practical for our use. So we choose Nakivo for is semplicity and the pricing.

I previously used VMware VDP for backing up my virtual machines. This was complex and difficult to maintain. I wanted to switch to something that would not take as much time to manage.

We did not use another similar product prior to Nakivo.

We used Xackup with XenServer prior to this.

We tried Veeam but the price was excessive and we have a better percentage of successful backups with Nakivo.

We are in the process of switching for two main reasons:

1. Reducing costs.
2. Improving backups by not having to install clients on each VM.

We previously used Proxmox which is open-source.

We did not use a solution prior to this one.

Previously, we did not work with similar products.

We used to use Veeam for the Hyper-V servers, but Veeam is much more expensive than Nakivo.

Now my company offers another solution: Veeam. Nakivo is cheaper, but it's a good solution for PMI.
