What do you think of Nimble Storage?

Valuable Features Flexible scaling for future-proof and Nimble InfoSight, easy and clear to use reporting portal. • Improvements to My Organization Centralize storage location for data and virtualized servers. Minimum experiences with downtime. Data compression ratio seems reasonable comparing to claims. • Room for Improvement Pricing. • Use of Solution 4-5 years. • Stability Issues Generally speaking, no. What do you think of HPE 3PAR Flash Storage?

Primary Use Case It's for storage, provisioning to our R&D teams. The developers provision the storage and test their products. The storage is critical for our development. • Improvements to My Organization Right now we are looking at automation. Based on my conversation with 3PAR, they are using Ansible to automate the provisioning, so that simplifies the day-to-day operations. • Valuable Features VVols are important for us Thin Provisioning Deduplication • Room for Improvement We would like to see automation. What is most valuable?

The multiprotocol support. It's supporting NFS, fiber channel, CIFS, and these kinds of things. The multiprotocol is very attractive.

How has it helped my organization?

It's flexible and we've been doing a decentralization exercise for the last number of years, so we've used the Unity 300 for our remote sites as a storage box.

What needs improvement?
