We recently had a case of stability, where one of our systems with SnapMirror wasn't working. There are some issues, but most of them are due to setup, destination, and transfer issues including the storage system running out and SnapMirror settings. Apart from that, it is very stable, and I would rate the stability a nine out of ten.

The product is very stable for the entire product line. I rate its stability a ten out of ten.

We've never faced any problems with the stability. Whenever we needed to mount the replicated disk it always comes up without giving us any trouble. We were able to mount the data and the integrity was good. The technology is tested and proven.

I rate SnapMirror's stability an eight out of ten. We never had an issue with SnapMirror. We've never had to create or delete it automatically or manually.

We have not had any stability issues with the product. We have had some network issues, though.

This solution is very stable. Before I propose any kind of solution to a customer, I have to trust it. I don't think that there are any problems with this kind of server.

Initially one can experience issues with stability if the NetApp unit is over utilized. This can happen. I have seen a NetApp unit with sustained 100% disk utilization over a period of a few days. This causes real issues. This is why I say it is imperative to really plan the deployment of disk storage systems. You cannot overload the system with production access, Snapmirroring, Snapshots, NDMP, and such. Definitely give your plan due diligence and design your implementation accordingly.

It's a stable solution. It just works. It’s like a lightbulb, you switch it on or off. There is nothing to change there. I like to compare it with the wind, it just exists and you can use it or not use it, but there is nothing to add there. It works. If it is not working, it means there is something wrong with the configuration of your system or something, but the features itself just work.

About about a year now we have faced random issues related power supply or auto failover failback issue which was related to bugs in Firmware.
