Netskope Initial Setup

It seems to be straightforward because we are using it with Azure AD. We already had all of our groups and users there, so we just added the Netskope application in our Azure AD, and it started gathering all the information and sending it to their databases. It seems pretty easy just for the load.

The first setup process was pretty simple. You just have to integrate the solution with cloud workspaces and applications and it is easily accomplished.

The initial setup was very straightforward. Our approach was to do the implementation as part of a proof of concept; it was more of a try-before-you-buy situation. Because of that, there was a lot of good support from Netskope directly to actually implement the POC. Once we did that and saw the benefits, the hard work had already been done to make it a production system for us. I would rate the initial setup at five out of five.

Deployment took a couple of weeks, maximum. The environment was set up quickly by the Netskope success manager, and the agent itself was quickly deployed by us through our system center management tool.

Being cloud based, it self- manages and doesn't require specific maintenance.

We had three technical staff and about 1,000 clients working on this solution.

The implementation part takes some time due to the complexities involved. In general, our company puts in a lot of effort, especially in coordination, to manage the solution's implementation.

In our company, we did not measure the actual time taken to implement the solution, but the overall time taken to implement the solution was around six months.

The solution is deployed on a public cloud.

The initial setup was a bit complex at first, but it got easier. I rate it a ten out of ten. The deployment is a continuous process because people joined and left the organization. So to get the solution to at least 60%, or 70%, it took about two months. Approximately two people are required for deployment.

It is a SaaS-based solution and is deployed on the cloud. It is very fast to deploy. We took three months to complete as we had to make many changes to the previous version. I rate the process a seven out of ten.

The initial setup wasn't too complex, we didn't have SSO in our organization at the time so creating user groups wasn't possible. It was one of the major criteria for them when we started deployment and had the CSM member from Netskope help us with the deployment. They were unable to help us figure out what the solution might be.

We found that the initial setup was pretty straightforward. It wasn't overly difficult or complex.

How long it takes to deploy depends on the policies that a company has. It depends on what we're applying stuff to. It can range anywhere from two weeks to three months, depending on the policies that we need to adjust, amend and adhere to.

The initial setup is very easy and user friendly. You can set the profile database to see the scoring or the weighting of the security as it applies to Yahoo mail, Gmail, and Facebook, for example. Deployment time varies because we need to customize the policy for our to each cient. Deployment will probably average about a week.

We did everything in-house and it was really smooth and simple. We didn’t do blocking right away. We turned it on just to gather intelligence about the organization. Who is using what? How are they using it? Then we gradually moved into blocking or coaching or diverting, etc.

The product's initial setup phase was simple since a user basically just needs an agent to be rolled out.

The solution can be deployed very quickly. It may take you a bit of time to set up the rules, but the rollout of the product to its customers is very quick.

The solution can be deployed on the cloud.

The complexity of the initial setup depends on the use cases. Often, it seems as if it will be straightforward, but this can be misleading. The basic integration is not that difficult, it's straightforward, but based on the use cases, it can end up taking a long time, especially when it comes to API integration, etc.

The basic implementation can be completed within a few weeks; however, regarding the total API integration and fully-fledged integration, it may take about one month. In total, depending on your use cases, it can take up to one and a half months.
