NGINX Plus Valuable Features
NGINX OSS typically doesn't give you enough persistence while NGINX Plus does, so that is an advantage. If you're using NGINX Plus as a load balancer in the front of your deployment, in front of your Kubernetes stack, or in your microservices deployment, then you will need persistence as a part of it. From an application perspective, you can still use NGINX OSS in general.
NGINX Plus also has NGINX App Protect. It's a separate module, which is inspired by the F5 apps. F5 has developed some capabilities on NGINX as well, so they're giving it a separate, payable module on NGINX. It's also a good solution for your microservices deployment.

Using NGINX Plus for web traffic distribution is fantastic. It offers performance similar to physical load balancers but with added flexibility. However, I have faced challenges with DNS configurations. Sometimes, updates to domain name IPs take time to reflect, causing delays or caching issues.

NGINX Plus is incredibly valuable to me because it excels at being a reverse proxy, offering seamless failover, and it works perfectly for my needs.
View full review »I need to highlight that the number one thing about NGINX is that it is free. Aside from that, for big companies who want a lot of traffic and a big work block, we can build the solution for them.

With NGINX, I appreciate its ability to route traffic geographically. It acts as a proxy in the middle, which helps us manage traffic flow in complex networks.
It takes the load off the actual mission-critical applications and transfers the traffic to the main applications with less burden. It's a very useful tool to have in your profile.
View full review »I find the solution’s community support and documentation most valuable. Compared to HAProxy, have found a lot of documentation and community support on Quora. If you would be asking me as a developer whether to choose this product, I would recommend this since it has good community support, documentation, and signature updates. The configuration of HAProxy is also very tedious. However, NGINX’s configuration is very simple.
View full review »A valuable feature is the very high-performance load balancers on HTTP and it's also great that the product supports IMAP, POP and SMTP protocols for the reverse proxy.

The load balancing module, which is equivalent to LTM, is the focus of the PSE. So far, the features of both are identical. I believe NGINX has more features for securing these services, but in terms of load balancing, both are massive solutions.

It's lightweight software that can handle heavy loads efficiently.

Our primary use for NGINX is as a Web server, so that’s where we derive the most value. Recently, we’ve needed to deploy sites over a number of servers to balance the load, which was not only painless but also super valuable.

Its most valuable features are load balancing and application delivery. This is the most efficient application for these features because of stability and its efficiency.

NGINX is extremely efficient in terms of the connection rate to the CPU cycles ratio, and in terms of the bandwidth to CPU cycles. It is configurable enough so smart engineers (which team consists of) can configure virtually anything which a product manager (say "business") is able to imagine. Even more because business does not always know all the quirks of DevOps and operations.

NGINX's multi-thread compatibility has been the integral part of it being a robust enterprise solution.
View full review »It is reliable.
View full review »Simplicity, stability, and modularity. Because, if you are familiar with Apache, you will know why my first reason is simplicity. Nginx is simple to configure, very stable in a highly utilized environment and very modular, allowing DevOps to create it's own modules for interactive use with Nginx.
