Nintex Process Platform Other Advice

If you want to work in a low-code solution, then I would suggest Nintex Process Platform. But if you really want to customize on a very high level and use hard code, then BizFlow is the best tool.

I would recommend checking the feasibility and what kind of thing you want to achieve. That’s why my organization is currently using both of them and also thinking about the third one. Like, if anything is available on the market, that is more suitable with BizFlow and Nintex and comes with some other additional features.

Overall, I would rate the solution a nine out of ten.

I would definitely recommend using K2. I would say it's a perfect use case. I would even go as far as saying it's a great choice.

I would give K2 a ten because we have been using it for the past five years without any major issues. Of course, there are some minor issues, but they can be easily resolved. We have the capability to solve them ourselves without relying on OEM support.

K2 provides a straightforward interface, allowing us to configure rules for form controls according to our business requirements. It's user-friendly, and even a ten-year-old can understand how to use those rules.

It's easy to configure your set of rules to make the form controls work perfectly, removing manual work and making processes seamless. You can approve requests from anywhere, whether through a mobile device or even when you're away from the office. It's very convenient.

I don't recommend others to start with K2 because of its high prices. There are other components that fit the needs of K2 that will not consider reducing their prices. I rate the overall product an eight out of ten.

We started with K2 Blackboard and K2 Konnect. We want to upgrade to K2 Five. However, if we find out during migration to the newest solution we need to start from scratch we may not stick with the product.

I'm an end-user. My company has a K2 license.

I'd rate the solution six out of ten.

Nintex is running much smoother after installing the new version of Nintex Connect on our platform.

While we initially tried using consultants, we found it more effective to collaborate directly with our users. This user-centric approach has helped us identify key technical aspects of Nintex.

Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

I would rate Nintex at a solid nine. In my assessment, I haven't come across any automation workflow vendors offering solutions significantly better than Nintex. When examining industry evaluations, particularly from renowned sources like Aragon Research and Forrester's WAV leader report, Nintex consistently stands out in the top quartile for digital business platforms and wide deployments. The recognition extends to other reputable organizations like Gartner and CRM, further affirming Nintex's position as a leader in the field.

If a community edition is available during the initial phase, we could use it to demonstrate the capabilities and set it up on the client's premises. Additionally, if we were to consider the cloud side, the accessibility of the cloud platform is currently limited. If such an option were available, it would be greatly appreciated.

Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

The on-premise version of Nintex Workflow was good for the workload that we were using.

However, the trend has changed, and now all the features are available on the cloud, not on-premise. So we have to move to the cloud.

We are cost-sensitive, so we can't just move the tool to the cloud directly. We need to evaluate and understand our requirements first. And since we are in the pharma industry, we need to make sure that the software is compliant with Part 11 regulations. For Nintex and other products, we need to develop them with those features in mind. So, that's an additional layer of customization that is required for all these platforms. That's why we are looking for a ready-made product that is compliant with Part 11 and FDA regulations.

So it will be easier for us, and it will reduce the need for customization. So in that sense, we are basically evaluating the different options. It was never a key factor for us, but we are not happy with Nintex, so that's why we are not considering it. This is the product we have been using for the past 6-7 years, and it was one of the best ones because it integrated well with SharePoint. We hardly had to do any customizations in SharePoint because everything was created locally.

If I consider the standard version, I would rate it eight out of ten. However, the enterprise version has some additional features that I would like to use, but the cost in not so fair. So if I factor in the cost, I would rate it lower, maybe around seven out of ten.

I give the solution a nine out of ten.

We have around 2,000 current users and are expanding to 2,500 next year.

Although Nintex Workflow is a great product, we need to assess our capabilities before integrating it with a Microsoft application. It's worth noting that Microsoft's application is actually less expensive than Nintex Workflow. Nintex Workflow is at the top end of the price range.

I rate the solution a six out of ten. K2 is not mature and still needs a lot of stabilization. My advice to new users considering the product will be to use it without customizing it. After installation, use the vanilla workflows, and you will get fast performance. However, if you customize it, you will run into challenges.

While K2 is cloud-based now, many older customers use an on-premises version.

This solution was acquired by Nintex.

I'd advise potential users if they have a legacy K2 system, to upgrade to the latest version of K2. They provide support and handle the migration of legacy K2 to the latest version. You get more features and advancements.

I'd rate the solution eight out of ten.

We're just customers and end-users. We don't have a business relationship with the company.

I am using the latest version of the solution, whichever it is. I'm not sure of the exact name of the version.

I don't know how the product compares with other solutions other than the older versions of Workflow such as SharePoint Designer.  I know that with Online, SharePoint Online, there are other workflow management tools that you can use if you would like to.

In general, I would rate the solution at an eight out of ten. We're mostly happy with it.

I'm a massive fan of K2 even though it's given me a bit of trouble in the past. Essentially, I think there are good features in there as well. It really comes down to your personal requirements, I believe. It's supposed to be a kind of designer-based application, work flow creation application or platform but I personally think that it takes a lot more technical ability to be able to design applications on K2. It requires more than somebody off the street, you need someone who can actually do a bit of design work and be able to spin up a really good application. It's not marketed properly, it's marketed as a designable application platform. But it's not necessarily, it requires a bit of programming knowledge.

The other thing I guess would be whether you want to pay for the licensing cost. There is a price for the K2 environment, does that suit you and your organization? That's something which you need to consider. Finally, K2 is also really hard to find, to be honest, and it comes at a premium so there's that maintenance cost as well or even development costs, which may be a lot higher than any other application that you may use.

It's given us applications that are stable once you get it right. We haven't had many issues in terms of applications falling over or not responding, things like that. It can be a bit slow if it's database-intensive applications. Again, that could be a mixture of both infrastructure and also K2 application.

I would rate this solution a six out of 10.

I have used Nintex Workflow 2010 and Nintex Worflow 2013. I have not worked with a client that has the most recent version deployed.

Overall, I would rank Nintex Workflow at eight out of 10. It is a strong product and is definitely best in its class. It offers strong usability with the in-browser, Vizio-style designer, and can also deliver on some powerful workflow actions. There are times, when dealing with complex workflows, where understanding the application and its nuances is required.

I would suggest to anyone wanting to deploy this solution to find a good integrator that understands the business first, not only from the technical side. Don't hesitate to take the journey. I would also suggest starting with a small solution and then expand it. Like everything, do a minimum viable product and then extend it a bit more slowly and grow into it.

I would rate this solution an eight out of 10.

I suggest that if they want to integrate between systems from a strategy department into another department, to really look at the integration layers that they have, as it's very advanced.

In general, I would rate this solution at a nine out of ten. We've been largely happy with the product.

It is very flexible but that also means that it has too many tools. It is hard to stop. You can do whatever you want but this takes practice to understand how to use this solution best.

If you need to integrate into anything, K2 is very useful. I advise you to be organized from the outset, before starting the project. This is very important.
