Clients usually evaluate a product when they have a pain area, they have a tech refresh, or they want to adopt a new technology. For example, if they are on the old three-tier architecture, they might be curious about HCI. We explain all the benefits of not only the HCI technology but also specifically of Nutanix for HCI. We explain how it addresses their pain area or needs. It has low overheads, so the cost of ownership is also low. They get a robust environment, and it is very easy to handle. It saves time. You do not have to go to DCN, mount storage, deal with SAN switches, etc. All those tasks are time-consuming. The maintenance and configuration take time. Nutanix saves you time. You can fulfill your needs or your clients' needs. The deployment is easy. Sometimes, our clients get astonished at the speed of deployment because they were expecting it to take weeks or months. It is simple but powerful. It is very easy.

Overall, I would rate this solution a 10 out of 10.

I'm using the latest version of the solution. 

Compared to a standard SAN solution, its performance is better and it is more feature-rich. Their hypervisor and cloud system is better.

I would rate Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure nine out of ten. The cost is high, otherwise it would be a ten.

Our Nutanix servers are deployed on-premises in Texas and California.

We provide hosting services, including server setup, database configuration, and application deployment. We manage all our clients' servers on-premises using Nutanix, a hyper-converged infrastructure platform. Our primary focus is assisting clients with application-related setups on Nutanix. We manage a large-scale infrastructure with over 300 hundred virtual machines running on Nutanix.

While Nutanix Cloud offers a compelling option for data storage, particularly its disaster recovery capabilities against ransomware and viruses, our current organizational structure is better suited for an on-premises solution. This allows us to focus on controlling costs associated with on-premises licensing rather than cloud service fees.

Nutanix requires minimal ongoing maintenance. However, when they release new features and updates, installing them becomes necessary. Thankfully, the installation process is straightforward. The support team is also happy to assist with any maintenance needs. Expanding our storage capacity is the one major maintenance task. This involves purchasing additional servers and integrating them into our existing cluster. On average two people can handle the maintenance.

The most important consideration is understanding your infrastructure needs. Based on that assessment, we can recommend the best option for you. Recently, we assisted a client who wanted to purchase their own server. We facilitated the purchase of a Nutanix server on the client's behalf and ensured its delivery to their location. There are two main cost models to consider: upfront investment and ongoing costs. A one-time purchase requires a larger initial investment but eliminates ongoing costs for several years. Conversely, cloud services like AWS require monthly payments for as long as you use them. By comparing the total cost of ownership over a set period, you can potentially save 70 to 80 percent compared to cloud services.

I strongly recommend Nutanix. After purchasing Nutanix, we found it to be so effective that we no longer needed to consider any other products.

My advice is to purchase Nutanix. It will help with your infrastructure.

It is quite comprehensive, all the toolsets are available, so there aren't many limitations. If you are looking for hybrid or on-prem virtualization, Nutanix is the preferred choice. The things that stand out are the scalability and ease of use. For a CIO, what is relevant is how scalable and reliable the solution is.

There is a culture of over three to five years of planning in most organizations. They know there is a budget of one million dollars, and they want to use it to the maximum for the next five years. Most of the time, customers buy too much hardware or too many resources. Nutanix offers them a change in the way they consume hardware and licenses, but changing a customer's business culture takes time. Most customers do not realize this in the first use case, but you can help them if they understand better what they really need. After the first implementation, most customers realize that they are over-provisioned. They bought more than what they needed. Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure allows you to buy as you need. You do not have to buy for five years, and you always can add resources based on your need. You also have the information about when you need them. For example, the systems will tell you that if you add more, you will need more resources. This is the benefit, but most customers do not trust these statements in the beginning. This is a learning process, and the lesson learned is that instead of over-provisioning, how to use resources wisely and how to discuss things with the procurement department so that they give you the money when you need more resources, not every five years. It might be every year and so to have a fixed growth. There are a lot more benefits. For example, there is no aging hardware. If your hardware is aging, you can just replace it or add additional hardware to the infrastructure when you need it. There is also no loss of value where you buy something and it loses value over time. When you spend one million dollars on the hardware, its value is reduced every month. At some point in time, it is at zero.

This solution is different from the way we did things in the past. My advice is that if you are feeling the pain over and over again, that means that you are doing something wrong. If you want to change things, you have to do different things. You cannot do the same thing over and over again hoping that the outcome will change. Nutanix is one way out of this. They help you to reduce the time to run your own infrastructure and increase the stability and availability of your infrastructure.

Overall, I would rate it a ten out of ten.

Apart from saving money, the product gives us peace of mind.

NCI made a big positive impact on our business-critical workloads. Our team is comfortable working with NCI because of its ease of use. With Life Cycle Manager, all our equipment stays up to date.

NCI saved us money because we don’t have to pay separate license fees for each separate piece. NCI helped consolidate the work to one person and free up our staff for other projects.

People will not regret choosing Nutanix, especially if they come from a more complex environment. The product will give them peace of mind and less headache.

Overall, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.

The single platform is moderately easy to use; not easy and not that difficult. It requires a little bit of understanding because it is not the type of platform where a non-technical person can just start working with it. Some preliminary training or hands-on work would be required to understand the overall workflow.

The advice I would give to enterprise organizations that are looking to deploy a cloud-based infrastructure model is to go ahead and select Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure because it is a single-vendor solution. It has the capability to host a wide range of applications and platforms without any issues. Scaling it is quite easy and there are a lot of features that simplify operations and administration and reduce our overall costs.

The biggest lesson I have learned by using NCI is that it is a platform that helps us reduce costs and simplify operations.

I give Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure an eight out of ten.

Upgrading is easy but modifications can be difficult. 

I rate the tool an eight out of ten. I am exploring new technologies because the market was different when I implemented NCI six years ago. Keeping up with changes is important, so I'm currently evaluating new options. I am looking to KVM. You should use NCI if you can afford it. 

We struggle with software licensing. Everybody's charging by the core. The larger nodes I put in, the more dense I can go, but my licensing costs are still going out.

I really like the whole LCM process in Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure. The whole one-click isn't true. If I go into LCM, do an inventory, and then say patch everything, it will ultimately fail. However, it still works out all right, and we can patch the firmware, drivers, AOS, and all the nodes and do a rolling patch.

When considering NCI, the big thing is considering your entire infrastructure because you go from different vendors and different hardware to handling storage and computing. I think what Nutanix and NCI offer is far better than VMware and Red Hat.

We haven't used much on the security side with Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure. NCI being pre-hardened helps me a lot because that keeps the security team off my back. We do the encryption but don't use the micro-segmentation because that falls to our security team and their firewalls

I have run into problems with Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure, where I have an overabundance of one aspect of the infrastructure and then come up slightly short on another aspect. For example, somebody throws out a server and needs 20 terabytes of space. I buy nodes to fulfill that, but now I'm sitting there with a whole bunch of extra computing. I've tried using just the storage blocks, and I'll never do it again because it's just a waste of licensing.

Overall, I rate Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI) a six out of ten.

I recommend the solution because it can converge the data center stack, including computing, storage, networking, and installation, all under one umbrella. Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

I'd rate the solution nine out of ten overall. 

I'd advise people to try it out. However, ensure that you lock in your price over the next three to five years so that incremental changes do not affect your contract.

My organization is the first company to deploy Nutanix in India. We deployed the solution in Gujarat, Sacramento, and Texas. The solution has beautiful architecture.

Our customers are from the healthcare industry, and they cannot afford to have downtime. With Nutanix’s robust solution, we never face any downtime. Everything we need is available within Nutanix. We do not need to buy any other product.

Previously, most of our workload was on Azure and AWS. Now we have a hybrid setup. We save a lot of money. We use around 4000 VMs in our data center. Upgrading hosts have to be done manually in VMware. Nutanix helps us a lot from a management perspective.

People planning to buy the product should evaluate their expenses in the current infrastructure and understand how much they will save from implementing the solution.

Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

Nutanix has a lot of products and solutions to provide a complete cloud-integrated infrastructure. Our customers use some of them, but not all of them.

My advice is to use Nutanix, without hesitation.

My advice is to get away from the traditional approach and think in forward terms about an HCI model. Nutanix stays ahead in the market.

I haven't seen any drawbacks that would lead me to suggest any improvements to the functionality of NCI.

I rate Nutanix a ten out of ten. I recommend this solution to any companies considering implementation. It was a good business investment for our company and as an extended working system, it is easy to maintain and use. The costs for running it are also low. For most companies who are already running some system at a certain scale and on-premises, I think a lot of them could benefit from this solution. 

I'm an end user and don't have any direct business connection with Nutanix—I only contact them when I need technical support. 

It is difficult for me to point to areas that need improvement. AOS is constantly on the move to new heights. It is considered even on a feature level with vSAN, while far ahead of that in regards to performance and resilience.

Again - can't say this enough - talk to Nutanix support if you have trouble determining the exact order in which product to update/upgrade. A call beforehand spares you a headache. Literally.
But, again, the support area is massive. Onboard with your block/node serial there and you are welcomed with an extra onboarding page on what is what. Best I have ever seen!

You need to understand abstraction and virtualization properly to be able to deploy it properly. You should look at it as a real alternative to VMware.

I would rate it as an eight out of 10. It is less expensive than the VMware alternative. I wouldn't say it is better than the VMware alternative. If you consider VMware's software-defined networking piece, VMware has an advantage, but its cost is significantly less. For that reason, I would give it a high rating.

I rate this solution an eight out of ten. I recommend this solution to others, however, if you have Oracle Database or Oracle licensing in general, then you need to think about how many licenses will be required—based on that, your overall TCO may increase significantly. Otherwise, in terms of virtualization, scaling, etc., everything is fine. 

I give Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure a seven out of ten.

The reason our customers choose Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure is that the total cost of ownership is lower compared to implementing a traditional three-tier architecture.

Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure is deployed in one primary location and is easy to maintain.

Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure is a viable alternative to VMware. If the price is suitable for an organization, they can consider implementing this solution.

Overall, I rate Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure a nine out of ten.

We already bought three Lenovo nodes and Nutanix licenses. We are going to expand the solution next month in October.

For most organizations, the first agenda is to look at the cost. If you are comparing Nutanix with any other solutions, Nutanix will be one of the best options. It is very stable now. You can reduce the manpower needed because even a single engineer can manage the maintenance.

Overall, I can rate it as eight out of 10 since there are few limitations.

The biggest lesson I learned from using Nutanix Acropolis AOS was that at the stage when we looked at it, Nutanix was still relatively young - so don't underestimate the underdog.

My advice to anyone considering Nutanix Acropolis AOS is that you won't go wrong. It's an easy, maintainable system, it's user friendly. They designed quite an excellent product and with the support and the knowledge from the guys, you're not going to have problems in setting up a system like Nutanix.

On a scale of one to ten, I would put Nutanix Acropolis AOS in the area of eight to nine.

It is so high because for starters, I have not really had problems with Nutanix at all in the greater picture. We've had one or two incidents, which were mostly from our side, except for the memory situation, which was hardware related and not software related. They were always before the schedule on turnaround time for repairs and getting everything sorted out and repaired and up and running. I know a big thing is that local suppliers play a big role in support of hardware and so forth, but we didn't have any problems right through the bank.

I would rate Nutanix Acropolis a ten out of ten. It's an amazing product. If you are looking into implementing Nutanix, I recommend going to their website (my.nutanix.com) and enjoying the information there. 

My advice to anyone considering it is to go with the latest solution and latest software and that you can go with any hardware. There are different vendors now, they know all this stuff, but go with the best, most updated solution.

Its uptime is good, its flexibility and scalability are very good.

On a scale of one to ten, I would give Nutanix Acropolis AOS an eight.

Always check compatibility matrix before you upgrade to get a clear view what comes after your upgrade. I recently found that AOS 5.1.4 and 5.1.5 will not let you upgrade to 5.5.x as of now see (https://portal.nutanix.com/#/p... Login Required). 5.6 is your upgrade path if you are on 5.1.4 or 5.1.5.

I would rate Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure an eight out of ten.

Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure's application and database performance is more seamless compared to the traditional solutions.

Our clients value Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure's ability to offer a variety of cloud operating models across on-premises, Edge, and multiple hosted managed and public clouds.

Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure requires maintenance.

Upgrading is easy to do. Adding storage on demand is a moderate task.

I have good friends in the field from different organizations because I have more than 12 years of experience. I've been recommending Nutanix to them. I'm not sure about the cost part, but I'm quite sure about the administrative part.

In terms of the solution overall, there are positive responses from my side.

I have experience with Nutanix Acropolis AOS, and I have a lot of certification in Nutanix products. I'm a consultant. My customers are enterprise companies. I have a lab where I test the infrastructure before presenting it to a customer.

Nutanix Acropolis AOS is my first hyperconverged solution. The client told our team to search for other solutions, so I did a comparison among three solutions: one from VMware, one from Nutanix, and one from Dell.

My advice to others who may want to use this product is to learn first from the Nutanix University. Nutanix has a great website you can use to be familiar with the basics of the product, then you can do the certification.

I'm giving an eight out of ten rating for Nutanix Acropolis AOS.

Take a look at the network requirements for the solution. It tells you a lot about the efficiency of it.

I'd give it a nine out of ten because it works. It does what they say it does. It is hard to get a 10 out of 10 for me, but it is a pretty good solution. If I rated other companies I've worked with, they'd get sevens or sixes. I like Nutanix. They're doing a good job.

Nutanix is an extremely cost effective product for the stability that you get without having to install additional hardware to get everything up and running. No other product out there can compare with Nutanix.

If you are looking for flexibility, space-saving, power-saving, and the best ROI, this is the solution to use.

The solution is new in our market so there are no local representatives here.

Because this is a new product it is not yet certified with a lot of ERP vendors in this region.

Soon, it will be only software. Therefore, you can provide preferred hardware. You can inject it with Nutanix software as long as the hardware compatibility meets Nutanix requirements.

I rate Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure an eight out of ten. Initial planning is critical when you deploy a solution like this. You need to plan in terms of capacity, sizing, and environment. It's essential to understand your requirements. With appropriate planning, you won't face problems in the future.

Make sure you find a good partner who has extensive experience with this. Also, if you are just doing server virtualization, then evaluate their free Hypervisor Acropolis and you can save quite a bit on not having to buy VMware.

Do not dismiss Nutanix too hastily over one little feature or another. They are coming, and it is worth your patience. The value brought in simplicity, support and time savings is worth a good hard look. Also, consider purchasing Turbonomic with or before Nutanix. They pair and play well together. Prepping my environment with Turbonomic before migrating made the transition much faster and easier by right-sizing my VMs and it continues to offer great features in my new environment. If you do, make sure they know you intend to move to Nutanix to ensure you license the proper features.

Nutanix Acropolis AOS is deployed on hardware, without a layer in between. It's server hardware installed.

Nutanix Acropolis AOS was good, e.g. from its performance running faster than VMware ESXi on a vSAN, so I'm rating it an eight out of ten.

We don't use the hypervisor of Nutanix, but only take advantage of its hyperconvergence system. We also use VMware Hypervisor.

We deploy the solution in our organization on-premises. This is because we have ERP on-cloud and a VMware infrastructure satellite server, meaning this server is on-premises, but our ERP is on-cloud.

I rate Nutanix Acropolis AOS as an eight out of ten. 

Overall, I would recommend Nutanix Acropolis to other users. On a scale of one to ten, I would give it a nine.

It's a good alternative, but it doesn't have all of the features. It's not on par with VMware but it is a potential alternative. It's similar to comparing Apple to Oranges.

If you are invested in the infrastructure and that is what you have to consider, but it's not easy. Overall, it's good software.

I would rate this solution a seven out of ten.

My advice to other users is that you need to think about what you are going to use and why. If you are just using the normal virtual machines, you could consider other brands. However, if you want to use some special instances with the duplication or whatever, Nutanix is a good option.

I would rate the solution at a six out of ten.

I would say that it's a simple to use product. It fits all sizes and it is budget-friendly.

One thing to keep in mind is that only experts can use it. It has to be in the proper hands, instead of going to XYZ people just for some cost savings. So lift-and-shift and migrations might be tricky, because it is not like a VMware.

On a scale of one to ten, I would give Nutanix Acropolis AOS a nine.

I'm a partner of Nutanix. I'm a user, however, I'm also a seller of Nutanix.

We are on version five. I can't remember the exact version number. We have both five and six. I have multiple clusters that are running within our infrastructure and then I have multiple clusters that are running within my customers' infrastructure.

While we currently use Azure for our cloud, we will likely use both Azure and AWS in the future.

I'd advise potential new users to do their homework and make sure that they don't necessarily listen to what the manufacturers are saying. Go find out for yourself.

I'd rate the solution at an eight out of ten. I wouldn't say it's a ten. I'm a pretty hard scorer. There are features and functionality where VMware makes things easier. Other solutions make things a little bit easier from a deployment perspective or something along those lines, however, that's just due to the fact that they've been in the market for a long period of time and their solution set has built or has grown from that perspective. They are highly ranked as they reduce the amount of maintenance and administration that you have to keep it running.

When you get over the initial shock of the price, and think about what you get you will never go back to the old way of implementing infrastructure.

I work for a distributor of Nutanix that also handles VMware. However, I market the Nutanix solutions primarily. We're resellers and we're a partner of Nutanix. We use both on-premises and cloud deployment versions. We tend to use Google and Amazon clouds when we use cloud deployments.

The platform is very easy to use and the administration functionality is good. Even in relation to VMware, which is cheaper, I like Nutanix best. It's easy to learn and the processes of configuration and onboarding are fantastic.

Overall, I would rate the solution eight out of ten.

I would advise anyone looking for a complete in-house, cloud-like solution to consider Nutanix a prime player. The technology is solid, and the support (both sales and technical) are top line.

Prospective customers should use Nutanix sales and technical engineers to get a complete understanding of the product. I personally don’t see a lot of benefit for PoCs. The concept has already been fairly well proven in the IT industry.

If you decide to deploy Nutanix in your organization, choose the team wisely. We were fortunate to have our own CTO, Mark Knouse, be awarded the NTC title. As Nutanix aggressively adds new features and ways to buy into the platform, and the Nutanix community grows, having a trusted team with NTCs that works directly with Nutanix with ensure your deployment is a success.

I rate Nutanix Acropolis AOS a seven out of ten.

My advice is that deduplication and compression can save money, so use it. 

Don't be afraid of Acropolis Hypervisor. It is stable and powerful, just as vSphere is.

It has built-in advanced analytics and powerful operations, Self Service Portal and components for DevOps included, managed by a single pane of glass (Prism) via HTML5 and it is free of charge – This is why Nutanix is so advanced and revolutionary.

If you have an old three-tier architecture that is more than three years old, check your contracts. Check your applications like Exchange, SQL, Oracle, SAP, or VDI, and if you have problems or you need better performance, then go to Nutanix and start a test with your application. I recommend a try-and-buy solution or go directly into a proof of concept. They will help you out.

It is the most flexible product for the datacenter.

I would recommend this solution to other companies, they are the best. Nutanix has surpassed others when it comes to hyper-converged infrastructure and hybrid cloud infrastructure.  If customers are looking for a solution that is easy to learn, intuitive and not complicated, Nutanix is what you want. 

I would rate Nutanix Acropolis AOS a 9 out of 10.

We are using the latest version of the solution.

It's not a very common solution in Saudi Arabia. Not all companies use it. My advice is to, even for the large organizations, is it's better for them to move to Nutanix solution, even though they may not recognize it as a brand in this region.

I rate Nutanix Acropolis a ten out of ten, and I would recommend Nutanix products to others. 

We have contacted more than one partner regarding the hyper-converged system. They sent us their solution from HP, for instance, they have their own hyper-converged system. They are using the DL Series DL380 and I went back to Gartner reports and other review sites, and then compared the specs to others. There is a hyper-converged solution from Dell but I think the leader in this technology right now is Nutanix. It is important to do a proof of concept.

The Patriarchate that owns the university is also in charge of multiple educational institutions. What we are thinking is to migrate all our services, to have our own private cloud, instead of being hosted separately into multiple hosts in our university. That's why we are planning to increase our nodes and to move all of the nodes, and all of the e-services related to our institute, inside our campus.

My advice to others is this solution is great and I highly recommend it. It's much better than the other technology or the deployed traditional solutions.

I rate Nutanix Acropolis AOS a ten out of ten.

I recommend certain applications but not this solution. There are certain limitations due to the lack of storage. If you need high performance, heavy applications you need to consider hardware and storage.

I would rate this solution a 6 out of 10.

I would advise talking to Nutanix to get the right hardware from the start and only buying certified hardware. You can use the Nutanix capacity planning information that exists to get the right sizing.

I would rate this solution an eight out of 10.

I would advise having a good and stable network base. Mine is on-prem, and I'm not sure what is the requirement for the cloud solution, but for on-prem, make sure that the network infrastructure is very stable, and there are no hops or drops from the network. It needs a very stable network.

I would rate Nutanix Acropolis AOS an eight out of 10.

The biggest thing that I've seen has been the backup and recovery which has been challenging for them over the past couple of years. They partnered with Beam and with Rubrik and Cohesity. They had their OEM go-to's, but didn't initially deliver a very good story for application integration for backup and recovery where they had good copy data management. Most of the OEMs are very good at backing up single clusters for local backup and recovery. That said, whenever true disaster recovery was needed and you're leveraging multiple Nutanix missions site to site, there wasn't the visibility of being able to backup or being able to have the application integration.

I would rate this solution an eight out of 10. 

Do not dismiss Nutanix too hastily over one little feature or another. They are advancing, and it is worth your patience. The value brought in from simplicity, support, and time savings is worth a consideration.

I would use Nutanix, especially if you have a virtual desktop infrastructure and you want good, stable performance. Before using this solution, we had performance issues with our virtual desktop environment and now our virtual desktops work very well, as if we were working on laptops or desktops.

I would definitely advise all my peers and anyone working in the same field to at least have a look at this product. 

I rate the solution nine out of 10. 

While all versions start as on-premises, and we mostly use on=premises, we do have one deployment on the cloud.

I'd advise potential new users to get a little bit of training before starting.

I would rate the solution at a ten out of ten. It's been very good so far in terms of the level of capabilities on offer.

It is very good to have an on-premise cloud system, it works well.

I rate Nutanix Acropolis AOS a ten out of ten.

The solution is a high-end product. Depending on what you are using it for, it can be very simple. However, if you have a complex environment, you may need to subscribe to a consulting service.

Nutanix gives you good comfort to not only create a private cloud but also gives you the ability to manage the public cloud instances from a single console. Simplicity is very, very important, and I think Nutanix gives you that comfort when you do the right sizing and implementation.

It feels like plug and play like you're adding a mouse or a USB to a laptop. It's that simple.

I would rate the solution an eight out of ten.

We're just a Nutanix customer. We don't have any partnership or other type of relationship with the organization.

The solution is a good product. It works great on newer systems, however, if a company has an older system they might run into issues.  

The performance is great and the pricing is very reasonable, which is why we like it and why we would recommend it to others.

I would rate the solution seven out of ten. If it worked better with older systems, I might rank it a bit higher.

Follow the best practices and check everything. The network is always the point of failure, and if you don't configure or manage the best ways for the network, it will remind you that you have an issue, or that you don't have well-prepared deployment.

I would rate Nutanix as nine out of ten because there is always room for improvement. From the beginning, they had a start-up position, but now it seems that they are going to move to the dark side of the market on the license end, like VMware. It seems like you will need a license for everything now. In the beginning, you could have everything with one license, but it looks like now you need a license for these features, another license for other features, and for everything that gives improvements to the solutions you have to buy another license for. That is not good from my point of view.

We have recently acquired this solution and have done the training. We are going to be using it to support technical applications before we can generalize it, and use it on a much bigger scale.

Currently, it is not the number of users that we are focused on. It will be for technical applications used only by the IT team, which is approximately seventy people.

At this point, my advice for other people who are implementing this product is that they should trust Nutanix. It is a good solution and it is easy to work on their platform. It is compatible with VMware, and they have their own container, which is free. 

I would rate this product a ten out of ten.

I would highly recommend considering Nutanix for any kind of workload, whether VDI, server virtualization, databases, Exchange or Big Data. I will say Nutanix gives system administrators their lives back; no weekend upgrades or issues. The one-click feature is truly a single-click for any upgrade, including Nutanix AOS, hypervisor, firmware, etc.

I would recommend this solution to others because of the great service and reliability. I have used VMware but I prefer Nutanix Acropolis AOS.

I rate this solution nine out of 10. 

This is the Nutanix management web interface.

It is a robust solution that also has integrations and a complete suite of solutions for multi-cloud environments.

I would advise someone considering this solution to go with it. We deal with multiple vendors. We're actually partners with a lot of vendors. Most of the enterprise vendors are in the top 10 but I'll say that this is the best that I've worked with.

I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.  

Perform resizing. Check the needs and deploy only what is needed. Check the memory DIMMs and make sure for the price you get, you have free DIMMs.

We Added a dedicated switch for this cluster so that all layer 2 networking will be in this switch and separate from the main routers.

I would encourage you to try out this product. I believe you will not regret it because of the stability of the technology, and the other benefits you can get from Nutanix.

I would recommend this solution to others.

My advice to others is to do some kind of POC, try and test it themselves before selecting any HCI solution. They should not purchase anything until they have confidence in their abilities. I would suggest they use a demo to receive some hands-on experience, evaluate, and compare both the technologies simultaneously, and then decide which is best suited for purchase.

I rate Nutanix Acropolis AOS a six out of ten.

I was just a customer and an end-user. I used it at my previous organization.

We were using the latest version of the solution at the time, however, I am unsure of the exact version number. It was a brand new install. The included new servers and a new environment. Everything was new. 

I'd rate the product at an eight out of ten.

I would recommend the solution to others. It worked well. Installation was quick or very helpful. Management was pretty streamlined. And most importantly, that migration tool was very impressive.

Leveraging the Nutanix Acropolis would save on hypervisor licensing.

With Nutanix, you can't mix up the OEM hardware with other vendors such as Dell or Lenovo. There are more issues on the commercial side. When it comes to support, a mixed cluster will create haywire between those hardware vendors.

My rating reflects comparing the experience of managing a three-tier architecture for visualization with a hyperconverged solution.

I'd recommend the solution to others as its stability is so reliable. Companies should strive towards finding a good management system. It's far worse without this.

I would rate the solution at a nine out of ten.

By deploying this solution you will receive the best results compared to other HCI solutions.

You can have optimal results from ROI and the infrastructure deployment perspective if the solution is designed properly. I would suggest that you spell out your requirements clearly before Nutanix starts building the solution.

We are an end-user of the product.

I'm not sure which version of the solution we're using currently.

I'd rate the solution at a nine out of ten. 

It is great. Some of my colleagues have been permanently glued to Nutanix. I would recommend the solution to people who are interested in networking-related products.

In terms of advice I could give to those considering the solution, I'll say this: it all depends on what they're looking for and what their ultimate objectives are. They need to clarify that internally before landing on Nutanix.  

At the same time, anyone going for hyper-converged should do so, as it's the future. Once a company decides on a solution like Nutanix, they expect to reap the benefits. Even before going with their decision, they need to know what it offers and how it will work to help them achieve their goals.

At the end of the day, it's all about our clients being more effective and efficient in their daily work or with their end clients. 

I'd rate the solution seven out of ten.

They're still evolving and we are not yet in a situation where we must interact fully. Some people will definitely come and tell you Nutanix is very, very expensive. However, expensive with regards to what? Or expensive compared to what? It's all about what you get out of it, and what kind of returns you're expecting. This is where Nutanix can make a difference.

My advice is to go for Nutanix because it is the way the market is going. Nutanix is becoming the leader in the market. Also, Nutanix offers far more software features than other products. You will not need much effort to understand the product. It's very simple to work with.

I would rate this solution as nine out of ten. I can't give it a full ten yet since we are not fully inside.

I would recommend Nutanix Acropolis. We are a national insurance company here. We require scalability. Nutanix is very good at whatever the scale is. There are no headaches. You can boot-up other servers, all in one.

On a scale from one to ten, I would rate Nutanix Acropolis a nine. I would go to 10, but many features are not perfect. 

I recommend this product for its easy implementation and its elimination of the silo approach.

We have a bunch of data warehousing servers that we have planned to migrate to the Nutanix environment, but the limitation is on the amount of capacity that is currently in the DW environment and its all traditional SAN attached. We couldn’t put the amount of data that is currently in our existing production (instead need to rework on the 10G copper connections with additional funding). That is the huge drawback, considering the infrastructure we have.

Most of the authentication processors/servers have a minimum transaction of 15k requests per second. For these types of workloads, we realized the solution doesn’t seem to fit well, leaving many of the requests either being dropped or transmission lost.

This solution has many advantages, but comes with a cost in dollars and complexity, so make sure you are thorough in your requirements, and that this product meets and exceeds all your short term and long term needs, including your budget.

I would advise others this is a good product for virtualization.

I'd advise the solution is definitely something that a company should go for. One of the major things is that Nutanix allows you to move from VMware to Acropolis and it also allows you to move back. There is no harm in actually trying out Nutanix Acropolis and seeing how it works out.

I'd rate the solution at a nine out of ten.

We provide server and hardware support. We focus on Nutanix and offer it to our clients. We are a distributor. We are a partner of Nutanix in Malaysia.

I'd rate the solution at a seven out of ten. If a company doesn't want an overcomplicated solution or if they want to use the hardware with a similar solution, this is a good bet. It's easy to set up and use with Nutanix products and you don't need too much in order to begin scaling.

My first advice to others considering using this solution would be to always use the support because they are great. The second advice would be to read the Nutanix Bible, which is quite good. It's an online resource allowing you to understand what Nutanix is all about. The third thing is to always follow the best practices that Nutanix provides. If you follow the correct practices, you are on the fast track.

I rate this a nine and a half out of ten because nothing is ever perfect. But Nutanix comes very close. 

I would recommend this product to others.

Hyperconvergence gives a faster implementation than the "standard" solutions, and a high density architecture.

Others should see if their requirements can be fulfilled by this technology. I think it is good in enviroments like business intelligence (data mining and big data analytics).

You have an option to start small instead of going big at first, which will capitalize your budget. You can ask for a loaner unit from Nutanix to play with; to check and verify their performance and match it to your requirements.

Nutanix treats us well. We can say we are happy with the Nutanix offering.

I would advise anyone considering implementing Acropolis AOS to configure their network properly because if it isn't, it's very difficult to apply the solution. I would rate this solution eight out of ten.

I live in Sri Lanka, which is a developing country, so the cost is especially high for us.

My advice to those wanting to implement Nutanix Acropolis AOS is to know the solution well before they do the implementation. They will have to receive some training about Nutanix Acropolis AOS. It's not easy to implement, but once you get used to it, it is very easy to do the implementation in the later phases. I would recommend people to get the training it is important.

This is a good product but in the future, I would like to see them focus on integration and simplicity because it would help to make it more user-friendly.

Always go for AHV Option because VMware is costly, especially if you're considering not only the hypervisor cost but considering vRealize Operations, Automation and NSX on top.

Nutanix will help you to wave out the hypervisor TAX which is not less than 20 % of any infrastructure initial setup cost

They need to know what they're doing before deploying a Nutanix solution. Before deploying, I would suggest reading all the documentation and talking to a Nutanix expert. Everything needs to be correct when deploying it because it's harder to adjust everything after.

I'd advise other companies considering the solution to do your research fully and make sure it's going to fit what you need it to do before jumping in.

I'd rate the solution eight out of ten. Their continuation of integration into all the supporting infrastructure is great. It's just about making sure that they got all the accreditations with backup and replication software and the antivirus. If they had an even wider ecosystem that supported additional products I'd rate them higher.

We have used Nutanix for three years now and have scaled and upgraded four clusters in that time with no issues.

It's easy for your IT department, manager, or director. The simplicity of it is good. I would rate this solution at 8.5 out of 10. I would rate it a 10 if support was increased in Saudi Arabia and the pricing was more competitive.

Do a demo. Don't just depend on the theoretical information in the information sheets, but go for an actual demo. Once you see a demo in action, you know exactly what the features are and how to do it.

I rate Nutanix Acropolis a 10 out of 10 because we're getting superior performance, support is very good, and it's a very cost-effective solution.

Using a hyperconverged system, network backbone, becomes more critical.

For the industry they are in, Nutanix is some amazing stuff. Even if we don't expand our footprint with them, I will personally be keeping up with their technology.

If you are looking for a computer, power, networking and storage solution, this is a great option.

Nutanix is the first and the biggest hyper-convergence company in the world. VxRail is also a great solution as well as HPE SimpliVity, but regarding to scalability and TCO, I think Nutanix is unbeatable at this moment.

Regarding Dell EMC having a main hyper-convergence solution VCE as VxRail, Nutanix is the best seller.

I would rate Nutanix as nine out of ten. A perfect ten is very challenging to acheive, but I think nine is basically perfect.

I would rate this solution an eight out of ten. If they develop the interoperability then it would make it a ten. 

I would advise someone considering this solution to not look at the market share. Look at the technical aspects in terms of the long term sustainability like licensing issues, easy scalability, hardware infrastructure, and storage compute. It should help in saving your OpEx costs in terms of floor space, energy, power consumption, and energy. Also look at latency IOPS and availability and if you can train your associates easily in the support aspect.

You should look into this product if you are looking for a good piece of technology.

Nutanix is the best solution for infrastructure on cloud, hybrid, or on-premise. I would rate this solution as ten out of ten.

I rate it a nine out of 10 because I think there is still room for improvement on the price.

My advice is to take your time and evaluate everything.

Nutanix is a converged system with web-scale technology. The technology is invisible to the IT department. You can focus on your business, instead of making IT a problem in your organization.

If that a customer wants hypervisors flexibility, simplicity, scalability, and a price advantage over VMware, Nutanix is a good choice that they should consider.

In summary, this product is very mature, stable, and easy to use. It is a platform that I can recommend, although it is based on the requirements and needs of the customer.

Nutanix is a popular solution in Indonesia because it can only be used by SMB customers. Ultimately, after I look at the requirements, I decide what technology will best suit the customer.

Acropolis is a good choice for those who want to go with a complete infrastructure. I would give this solution a score of eight out of ten.
