I started my journey with Documentum as a software developer. I then worked as a consultant to help customers use the solution. I have worked across various industries like media and publishing with customers like McGraw Hill, banking, insurance, and aviation. There are any use cases. The product gives us the flexibility to configure it the way we want for our business domain.

We primarily use it for storing documents. We host a variety of documents in OpenText Documentum. This includes raw files, analyzed files, and documents in multiple formats. 

One major thing we've faced is that it doesn't support files directly coming from machines in their original format. We need to convert these files into PDF format, which is a manual process.

The primary challenge was migration. We have been using our own in-house product for the past 15 years, storing documents from that period, resulting in over 50 million+ documents in our system.

The migration process was particularly challenging. We needed to replicate a similar structure in OpenText Documentum, but our software didn't initially provide this capability. We had to request the implementation of some add-ons to facilitate the migration.

Another significant issue was the usability. The directory structures and overall system were not straightforward or easy to understand. These were the major challenges we faced and moved to Documentum.

I'm a developer, so I use OpenText Documentum to customize the user interface and the back end. We use OpenText Documentum to automate the storage of metadata and content.

It serves as a content management solution at our company, Chevron, where it plays a crucial role in managing the extensive documentation associated with various aspects, such as sales and field operations.

We are a pharmaceutical company. We use it for quality documentation, validation, clinical, regulatory, and lots of different things.

We have an accounts payable use case, and we also have an HR use case. We store all of our documents for HR and accounts payable. OpenText Documentum helps us organize and keep everything in one place we can trust. With the new versions, people can't share or download them whenever they want to.

We help customers utilize the engineering information that is stored in Documentum more effectively. I demonstrate this system and our solution integrated into Documentum to show how that could help the customers access their information more readily. 

We work in a large IT sector that involves the use of documents. We use the tool to store them. 

We use Documentum mainly for organizing and managing digital documentation, especially after the pandemic shifted us away from manual procedures. It is crucial to ensure that sensitive and confidential documents, like agreements and MOUs, are securely accessible only to authorized users.

We use the solution for document creation and archival. 

Our insurance company has multiple business types, including personal insurance, commercial insurance, and group benefits. We use the product to store policy and claim documents and send emails and text messages. 

We use Documentum for regulatory purposes, quality management, and collaboration with partner companies.

We primarily use it for banking systems and some workflows.

I work at a software development company. We only have about a hundred employees, so we are not big enough to use Documentum ourselves. Instead, we are developing a solution based on it. We are developing the new version of a court case management system, which is a national scale project. 

You need a BPM solution if you are working with court cases files. It's essential to develop the method description for the document data. It is also necessary to implement business process management, and Documentum is pretty good for that.

And for development, we have a team of nearly 10 people. For support, we have one or two.

We use it for content management solutions and processes, such as credit, document lifecycle, etc., in the following verticals: banks, insurances, and so on.

I work as a manager for professional services implementation and Documentum Implementation engineer, we are partner with Dell EMC for Documentum Platform. We provide professional services to our customers, mainly government entities, implementing the product on-premises.

Our primary use case is generally twofold: Enabling our clients to have one repository, a centralized system, for all types of documents - PDFs, Word documents, and scanned images. And secondly, enabling document sharing between teams while maintaining security. 

There's also the addition of the high volume batch scanning of the Captiva module which is a smart automated capture solution with image enhancements, indexing, utilizing OCR technology to identify document types. Each document is linked to specific metadata for business information, extracting and indexing, raising the texture of the scanned image, and auto-indexing the business fields, which is then integrated automatically to the ECM repository.

We utilize XCP, the xCelerated composition platform to develop business applications, supporting case management solutions for our customers, and also automate work review, approvals and specific business processes.

We use Documentum to store important documents for HR and other departments.

We use it for enterprise content management and we have many businesses which use it for business process content management. So we have two categories of users. The primary use case is lifecycle management or flow management and that includes the enterprise content management service.

Using Documentum products such as Content
Server, xCP, Captiva, 90+ large-scale Business Processes/Applications have been
successfully implemented for moving forward to be paperless organization. These
processes are fully integrated with our Oracle E-Business Suite (Financial Modules
plus HRMS) in addition to integration with custom enterprise systems built
in-house

We use this for documentation management. It provides possibilities for us to save documents and supporting the business process while doing so. It helps us with some of the overflow of documents, and that is very important for our company.

Most of the solutions that we get are to be built on top of the platform. The platform can't be leveraged as it is. Most of the applications are customized applications that follow a particular life cycle workflow.

We build custom solutions on top of SharePoint, Documentum, and Adobe. We build applications for a lot of government organizations.

The content gets captured by a customized portal, which is written in Java, then the documents get generated via the Adobe and then get published and stored onto Documentum.
