There aren't multiple users of the solution in my company. Only one person in my company uses the solution. My company uses Oracle Database in Oracle Cloud to create and use persistent stores. We also use Oracle Cloud in our company in relation to persistent data.

If we need to copy and paste workflows around and around, then the solution's scalability and maintainability are not very good. If we need to adjust something, we can't do it in just one place. We need to adjust it in all the workflows built for that use case.

I rate the solution a four out of ten for scalability.

The scalability of OCP is very good, more than 7,000 people are using it as of now. They are all in different roles. Other OCP applications, we are using mainly for reporting.

After the training for the deployment, there were 3 people who were taking care of all the core construction. Apart from the OCP side, we have another network expert.

We are planning to increase our usage of OCP. We have adopted e-licensing for the cloud environment. Now we are planning for the next stage of development of services.

All our clients are enterprise clients. We don't have any small clients.

The main challenge that we have with scalability is the opacity and the pricing. Pricing becomes a challenge because you're not very clear on at what point in time you'll be breaking or you'll be exceeding the size you already acquired. That is the challenge, but Oracle powers some of the biggest cloud platforms in the world, and so do AWS and Azure. All of them have the ability and skill to run very large platforms.

The scalability of Oracle Cloud's system is exceptional and highly commendable when handling complex operations, such as running separate billing servers for cell phone companies. With the system, the data can be taken to the cloud and run seamlessly without any problems. Scaling up the system is effortless, particularly with the hyper-converged infrastructure, making the process very straightforward.

We have over 50 users using this solution.

It's being used very extensively, and we do not have great plans for increasing usage. It does what it does, and it works well, but there won't be much storage increase. We're not about to hire another 5,000 employees to use it.

Oracle Cloud is a scalable solution, but we have many performance problems. For example, when we faced an important performance problem, the solution’s scalability did not work until the problem was resolved. We waited for a month or two for the problem to be solved. Oracle Cloud is highly scalable. We are definitely going to use this product in the future and plan on scaling our usage with our customers. The way that end-users and potential customers are responding to the product is promising. A year ago when you talk about the cloud, people would not even listen to what you were saying.

Unfortunately, right now there is no one in our company who is using the product. We do not have our own subscription. We are still trying to expand our customer base and secure more customers to use the service.

I don't have a benchmark to compare it with anything, but the scalability part is still not as good compared to Amazon because you need to manually scale up the application. Although, once you select the upscale or downscale configurations, it's easy, it's smooth. It's not like Amazon where you can scale based on requirement and it's much more seamless. Here, it's not. Currently, the OCI package that we are on is customer managed more than actually Oracle managed. We do have backend access for those applications. We can modify that. Going forward, I think they will come up with a strategy where it would be more Oracle-managed rather than client managed.

We have more users on the Oracle Analytics Cloud platform, which is 50 people currently using out of a total set of 200, 250, 300 people. People are creatures of habit, so they go to the on-prem option rather than going to the cloud version. Slowly, we are migrating people to the cloud.

We hardly require any people for maintenance. In fact, we have only one guy who takes care of the maintenance part of it. For upgrading and patching, we require just one person, who is not full-time. He does his day job, this is a side job for him.

We do have plans to increase usage. We're taking it slow and migrating.

The solution isn't quite AWS yet. They have some issues with the outer scaling, for instance. They need to improve in that area a bit.

We tend to deal with medium-sized organizations. One of those customers has about a bit more than 100 servers there. I would say there are 120 servers running on Oracle.

We have clients that do plan to increase usage in the future. It will require some scaling.

It is easy to scale because you have the option to plan your capacity. If you don't know the capacity, how much you need, you can still plan. You can start with one server at first and then there is an option to add one more server into the server pool. It handles the traffic equally. All these things happen automatically and you don't need to worry about the capacity.
