We handled the initial setup in-house.

View full review »Our in-house team has the capability to implement this (with customers).
View full review »The process will take the deployment of our database first. We need to set up the Oracle database. After that, the database is created, and we need to create a listener. And after that, we can set up the Oracle Enterprise Manager database. In the middleware, it will communicate with the database, and after the process is complete, we can browse the Oracle Enterprise Manager. With the help of Oracle Enterprise Manager, we can communicate with all the servers and other posts that support SNMP or with whichever supports the Oracle Enterprise Manager point.

We completed the setup, deployment, and implementation ourselves.
View full review »The initial setup on Enterprise Manager is fairly straightforward. Actually, on my own personal blog, I blog step-by-step - installing the database, installing the OMS, it takes a couple hours, depending on the speed of disc, but it's fairly straightforward.
View full review »Like any product, it is best that the implementation is done by someone who understands it well, whether done in-house or by third party. It saves a lot in long run and you know that its done right.
View full review »We implemented it with our in-house team.
View full review »Having assisted on many Oracle Enterprise Managers implementations and seen the common mistakes, I wrote an article about it for the Oracle Scene Magazine Issue 57 (http://tinyurl.com/hxe4q9n). In summary, it's about planning what you want Oracle Enterprise Manager to do in helping you manage your IT estate and then undertaking the necessary configuration. Too often, people put little thought or effort into understanding what the product can do and just start rolling out management agents and then undertake a period of protracted reconfiguration.

We tried to involve Oracle for a upgrade and migration project from version 11g to 12c. After more than a year finally they gave up and said it cannot be done. We then did it in-house, workaround it (with their support of course) we migrated the 11g version and then upgraded it. Every other upgrade/installation was done in-house.

Oracle Enterprise Manager can be deployed in one hour by one person. You deploy the Oracle Enterprise Manager server, then deploy the agents to the targets you want to monitor.

We have our own in-house team that can handle deployments for our clients.
View full review »Implementation was done in-house. My advice, based on the upgrade that we performed, is to create a "sandbox" to "play" in and test, test, test and document, document, document.
We documented with great detail each step and the time it would take. We ran tests in the sandbox to ensure that the upgrade would work. It was very successful and ran into virtually no problems.
