Oracle Real User Experience Insight Initial Setup

Setup wasn't too complex because we just deployed to the server, and that's it. The URL needs to be accessed. The port needs to be opened from the desktop appliance extension to there, and a certificate needs to be installed on the PC to access the dashboard and modification tool. I was the admin for that superuser, so I had all the access at that time. And the users also get the same access. The deployment takes no less than one week. We follow the waterfall model to deploy because it has to be part by part. It doesn't require us to take the server down, and that doesn't take more than an hour. I did all of the deployment myself. Our middleware admin handles updates.

This necessitates us assisting the system with networking, cooling, electrical support, and power management, ensuring that everything is properly configured. When all these factors are in place, customer feedback generally doesn't indicate any significant problems. So, overall, it's not a major concern. However, it's crucial that application vendors are aligned with this setup. It is deployed on-premises. For a basic solution, it took us around one and a half months.
However, if the environment is in good shape, it can be completed within a maximum of two months, often even less, like one month. This process involves coordinating with several teams dealing with IP addresses from Unifin. Everyone, including the security and network security teams, needs to work together. They must open specific ports and fine-tune the security settings. When everything aligns smoothly, the implementation can be completed in one to two months, typically.
Overall, I would rate it 9 out of 10.

The initial setup is quite straightforward. You just need the user ID and password and the URL and it is up and running. Deployment on my computer doesn't take more than three minutes. The actual deployment, which might have happened in India, might have taken longer. For me on my setup, on my computer, it did not take too long.
