We need more time to discover the cons of the product. For example, We need to test all the recovery scenarios to ensure we really lose no data.

ZDLRA eliminates agent based licensing, which provides cost saving.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We used third party tape based backup solutions. Performance, backup duration and recovery complexity caused us to switch to ZDLRA.

Need to fully test with the recovery capabilities with different situations.

Yes, other solutions. However, being an Oracle product, ZDLRA delivers far better than the other solutions.
