We didn't really use a different solution previously. For data governance, we used some homegrown stuff, basically. We're still doing that in some areas.

My company has past experience with other solutions in the market.

Before, the accountants were using custom excel sheets individually maintained. 

We switched to this solution because the level of control available is higher than other comparable products. With this solution you have access to 100% of the functionality and unlimited configuration availability.

Also, you are not restricted with the OEM for this. That means you can do your own upgrades, without the need for the vendor to be involved.

I previously used Semarchy xDM.

I previously used Teradata MDM, and by comparing that I found it better. Currently I am using Informatica MDM, which I found have great features along with a strong ETL tool for integration.

I previously used several solutions but I couldn't find all the solutions in one place, so I had to piece together lots of separate systems to do the same thing. Now EBX does everything for me. I used the hybrid model but I switched because EBX does everything. Everything is in one place and easier to use.

I moved away from Informatica and PeopleSoft.

Replaced SAP PI in some areas - much better and easier to implement.
