We did have some help from Pega during the initial implementation. Mostly, we handled the setup in-house.

We did solicit outside assistance for the implementation. We actually used both the Pega professional services in the beginning for a short time and then a subsequent implementation was done by an integrator.

Nowadays, standard open affairs configuration is there. If you ask me how much time it'll take to build it, it's maybe a few hours or maybe two to three days. When we talk about the entire project, we need to take care of a lot of things, not just the build part. Usually, there are integrations necessary and we have to have a lot of testing in place to manage different combinations, load testing, performance testing, and security testing. Most of the time clients ask for all these things. That adds to the setup timeline, however, the build is not included in that constantly changing time.

It requires a Pega architect from the company.

The deployment was handled by Pega and was quite easy, not very complex, and the customer was satisfied. 

The amount of technical team needed depends on the project. For small implementations, we use one to two people and for big projects, we can have over 30 developers.

It was in-house when I did my setup. It was not a cloud setup, but rather an in-house setup. We did an upgrade, and everything was done in-house.

We have had cases where we have done the deployment for our customers, although in other instances, the client does everything. We prefer not to do the installation, if possible.

I used a number of integrators for my current project that was as a re-seller. I don't have experience with implementing. On my current project, I do integrate with the re-seller that does business with Appian. We are just consulting for the solution at our end with an integrator at Appian by using the data authentication.

We brought in experts. Our experience with them was positive.

Our in-house technical team was responsible for the deployment, and we had a consultant working with us.

For its deployment and maintenance, you need highly skilled people.

We handled the implementation in-house and have people with experience in Pega.

I need people who understand this tool and they can implement it. I cannot rely on someone that implements it and leaves. They do not have enough people qualified in the market. If you are not able to operate it, improve it, or do enhancements changes yourself, it will be an issue.
