Pega Robotic Process Automation Scalability

VISHNU VARDHAN CHENNURU - PeerSpot reviewer

100% it is scalable, however, if a person is not aware of everything the solution can do, they may see it is only 70% scalable, or a little less scalable in general. The more you understand about the tool, the more scalable it becomes. It becomes easier to scale too. It's just that Pega may be perceived as a bit more difficult, than Blue Prism, UiPath, or Automation Anywhere. It's not, though. You just need time to adapt.

I'm working for a sizable company that has hundreds of clients. In my client area, almost 150 to 200 bots are running. The other areas where my colleagues are working also have bots running.

Pega Robotic Process Automation is scalable, but you need to integrate it with the Pega platform, so if you aren't using the platform, you have to write some custom code to make the solution scalable. Scaling up Pega Robotic Process Automation is possible, but not easy.

On-premise, it's a bit tricky and time taking, but on the cloud, it's just a few clicks.

We mostly have medium-sized and enterprise businesses as our customers.

I would rate the scalability an eight out of ten.

Just in the UK, there were about seven to eight people using the solution. It is not done 24 hours a day. There are no dedicated resources. Manually, we may work on it for one to two hours a day. Once it’s deployed, just one or two machines are needed to run the solution.

I have found the solution to be scalable.

Pega Robotics itself makes solutions really scalable. If you want to integrate it into this process with existing automation, you could just plug in this project to the existing ones. The scalability is really good.

Scalability depends on deploying additional robots to perform the operations. There could be tight coupling with an underlying application you need to consider when planning scalability.

The ability to scale really depends on how you build it. It's my understanding that you can build them in a scalable way. You can do that for most of these RPA technologies, however, how you build it depends on how scalable they are.

The scalability of the product is great. If a company needs to expand it, it can do so. it's not a problem.

Scalability is a process, but I would rate the product at 7 out of 10. We are around five tech developers. It's easy to deploy. You don't need much of a team to deploy Pega. You just need to install the .exe and everything will go just fine.

Scalability is not an issue. If anything, you are going to be more limited by your own environment than by the tool. Some Pega or RPA is not going to limit how you scale.

We have one robot team at our company with about 10 members. That includes analysts, developers, and testers. Right now we are small, but we are going to try to grow it over the next one to two years.
