What is most valuable?

The IPsec VPN and web filtering.

How has it helped my organization?

The use of it has really bogged down our response time for certain problems, given we have to go through AT&T for everything. I don't think really highly of it, though.

What needs improvement?

I would like the ability to pick and choose different features of it to run in a packaged infrastructure or modules, therefore I would like to have more customizability over it. It seems very clunky… more»

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

We pay a lot of money for it. For big organizations who are used to throwing around a lot of money for absolutely surety, this would probably be a good fit for them. For the average SME, this… more»

What other advice do I have?

We just don't have a lot of the control or customizability that we would like to have over the system. A lot of this has to do with how AT&T is handling the access to it. Also, the hardware is… more»

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We are currently looking at WatchGuard, pfSense, and Fortinet FortiGate. Netgate would provide the hardware. We have still got nine months left on our contract with AT&T before we can actually do… more»

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature for small and medium businesses is the support for various protocol proxies. Without any subscription, they can realize an IDS/IPS solution.

How has it helped my organization?

I can say that it has been defending our organization. There are from ten to one hundred attacks per day to our IT forum and our email server.

What needs improvement?

It would be wonderful if the WatchGuard team develops nice products for threat intelligence. They have a subscription service called DNSWatch, but this needs to be… more»

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The cheapest configuration, for maybe five people, is approximately $500. There are several other license steps that vary based on the number of security services that are… more»

If you previously used a different solution, which one did you use and why did you switch?

I have experience with Check Point UTM, and I find that this application has approximately the same functionality, but it is cheaper.

What other advice do I have?

It is a very reliable and very easy solution. I think it is the best solution in the world, judging by its price and quality. I would rate this solution a ten out of ten.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We had considered several other solutions such as pfSense, MikroTik, and Fortinet. However, we became a WatchGuard distributor for the territory of the Russian Federation… more»

What is most valuable?

Everything with Stormshield Network Security is valuable.

How has it helped my organization?

This product has improved the way our organization functions. I can see what traffic is going on. I can easily block any programs from attacks.

What needs improvement?

The main area of this product that has room for improvement is pricing. Stormshield Network Security is quite expensive. For me, what they currently have with features is… more»

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Our license for Stormshield Network Security is on an annual basis. It should be less expensive.

If you previously used a different solution, which one did you use and why did you switch?

Stormshield Network Security was the first firewall that we implemented.

What other advice do I have?

On a scale from one to ten, I would rate this product a seven because from time to time there are some little issues. You don't know what is going on.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We were choosing between pfSense and Check Point.

What is most valuable?

I find the solution to be user-friendly. It has a lot of reports and easy settings.

What needs improvement?

On the customer-side, because I'm a small business, I need a cheaper or free solution option. To scale, you need a different package application. It's not compatible with pfSense. Maybe there should be a different package or a different… more»

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

It costs about $1000.

If you previously used a different solution, which one did you use and why did you switch?

I used to use pfSense. I switched because OPNSense is modern and new. The graphic interface is good. And sometimes pfSense is not stable. Sometimes it breaks the line and stops.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate this solution 10 out of 10.
