i think for all SMBs, this is perfect.

One standout capability is the seamless migration of virtual machines between servers with minimal downtime, emphasizing availability rather than scaling.

I have 15 servers running on the product.

The solution is scalable. I'd rate it seven out of ten. It could be better.

Only three people intervening in the actual solution, however, 300 to 400 people are using the computers that rely on Proxmox. 

I do not have plans to increase usage at this time. If I needed to, I would use this product.

I'd recommend the solution to others. It's free and open source. I'd rate it ten out of ten.

Two people are using Proxmox VE on my site.

Proxmox is scalable. Let's say you wanted to add an additional host, or you wanted to add additional hosts just from memory or virtual CPUs, just for additional resources. You could just add a host. You do not need to buy a license to do it. That is better than just scalability, it is scalability without cost.  

With VMware, you have to buy a license or you need to use it free for 30 days, but eventually, you are going to have to procure another license. With this product, I can just take whatever server I have, install Proxmox on it, and that is it. I introduce it to the cluster during the install, and everything is up and running.  

So it is very, very easy to scale at will. I have not seen any limitations of the product itself that would prevent me from adding additional systems or or other resource into a cluster. By resources, I mean CPU, memory, drive space, or other performance enhancement.  

We do not even have to have anybody on staff who is here to maintain the system. It is just another part of the existing architecture that gets monitored by the systems that we already have in place. We have monitoring set up so that we can tell how the system is performing overall. We can generate reports within Proxmox to tell us how it is performing in a given cluster and how many hosts it has.  

We plan on keeping it as our virtual platform and we are pretty confident that it can scale with our needs. If our virtual needs increase, then that is exactly what we would do: scale it up. We can just run everything on it — anything not critical that is fine running on a VM. Right now, we are a very small company. There is plenty of room to grow and I do not expect Proxmox will be exhibiting pushback any time soon.  

The scalability of Proxmox VE is good.

We have approximately three administrators that use the solution. We do not have plans to increase the usage.

We have approximately 20 virtual machines on the Proxmox VE server.

Three people including one cloud member and internals, are using this solution.

I rate the solution’s scalability an eight-point five out of ten.

The solution is only one node, so it is not scalable.

Scalability is good, we have around 100 users. 

It's scalable, but it lacks automation. You have to configure the memory for the system to be automated. I'd rate it a six out of ten in terms of scalability.

It's for our external servers, and we probably have more than five thousand users.

I rate the tool’s scalability a three out of ten. We set up 50 servers in our environment, which worked well. Then, when the virtual server numbers increased to 100, it worked fine. Later, when it was around 200 to 300, the performance got worse. It is getting worse with time. The more we scale, the more we have problems. Currently, we have 300 to 350 virtual servers. Our customers are small businesses.

The solution can scale but it is not perfect.

We use this solution in the branch office in Beijing. We have approximately 25 people in the office and 15 of them will use something built on Proxmox VE.

Not for now, the 16 nodes per cluster limit have been removed in the 5.x release !

I do not have any users yet but I have 10 potential users.

I rate the scalability of Proxmox VE an eight out of ten.

In terms of scalability, we didn't have any need for scaling because just the fact that you can put them in a cluster and manage one unit is a very good feature. I don't have to manage it individually, I can just put them together in a cluster and manage them for one single piece. I'm about to test the backup feature and also maybe upgrade it to the next version, which is 7.0. I'm expecting that there will be a lot of improvement.

Right now we have about six users on a project that I'm deploying. I'm still managing the project, but due to COVID it has gone on for two years, but we're just about to hand it over. Because of the COVID issue, nobody wants to come to one place to sit down and do anything. All of last year was just wasted, but this year we're able to do a number of things with them. The manual process of updating one by one is relatively stable. In the account, you have to centralize the management. You have to log in one by one and you can have a different password for for each one, it's not unified. They have not unified the authorization process.

One thing I have noticed is that because I put a password on one it is expecting me to manually put a password on the other node. I would expect that for better management you can have the same propagating password. Maybe there's a better way to do it, but that's what I have been seeing and I found that I have to be doing this for each one on each node. That is an issue, but so far it's been very good. It's been very stable. I never had any issues with it. It's cool stuff.

I  really like the software storage. I used it on one of the cloud servers that we set up and it's working very well.

We do plan to increase the usage in the future.

My company hasn't used the scalability options provided by the solution because our hardware is currently fixed. My company operates on an on-premises model, and I don't know how we can avail of the scalability options if we plan to move to a higher version of the hardware.

My company has only two servers running for Proxmox, but we have about a hundred VDIs or virtual machines that run on Proxmox.

The scalability of Proxmox VE could improve. The vertical scaling needs improvement. If the vertical scaling was better I could input the resources on the fly without shutting down the system. This would make it a lot easier.

We have approximately six technical support staff using this solution in my company. We plan to increase our usage of this solution.

I can't really speak to the scalability. I haven't looked into it yet. We're a very small company and we have about five people using the solution, all at the director or senior level. We have a senior application developer, and a director level manager who brought the product in.

Proxmox VE is a scalable solution. When I get a new host or a new client, I'll probably buy a new server and add it to the node or the cluster. It's just a breeze. It's as simple as a click, and I have added it. 

I have about 20 clients. My clients are about seven schools, gas stations, coal, utilities, a bank, two small microfinance banks, and the government.

I am thinking of doing more. I am thinking of setting up a mini data center with it because we have done the proof of concept for CCTV storage. People don't have the space or the money to do their own backup and store their own footage. Part of my solution is selling them storage that they can retrieve from their devices. I store their CCTV data in my data center and give them a remote view. You don't need to have an NVR.

When I sell a surveillance solution, you don't even have to have an NVR. Give me a firewall, and then I will point your storage to come to my server. I'm the one in the neighborhood storing information at the moment.

I haven't had any problems with scalability. I'm using it on several servers with large memory and hard disks and it's doing just fine.

M2 disks are completely supported if the bare metal server does.

Setting up the firewall is so easy that it can be managed with scripting.

Proxmox has become a centre of our IT-infrastructure.

We haven't tried to scale the solution. We tried it with two loads, which isn't really enough for a scalability test. We only have about 20 people on the solution currently.

I rate the product's scalability a ten out of ten. 

My company is very small but I have more than 10,000 users accessing on ProxmoxVE Cluster. We provide the solution to other customers.

When it comes to scalability, I am satisfied with Proxmox. I got everything that I needed with Proxmox. Currently, my team consists of 15 people but we have 1,000 clients.

We migrated our old servers with Proxmox VE. 

It leads itself well for scaling out. It is being used on almost all of our servers here. We have 46 users, and everyone who works here uses this solution.

This solution scales relatively easily.

I see the options for scalability, but for my own use case, I don't have the need to have several instances. It is just for my test environment, but the options that they provide sound interesting. There are some high availability configurations for multiple Proxmox instances.

My environment has about 30 users. It is being used every day. It is an operational tool because the environment has to be up.

Scalability is excellent and it seems to run with quite a low overhead.

I have been experimenting with adding nodes to the cluster so that we can create more of a high-availability system. The process is just a matter of installing the software and then copying and pasting the license key. It couldn't be easier.

Proxmox VE is a scalable solution, but we are not necessarily interested in expanding our usage. We want to make some changes to something that is more reliable.

For now, we are pretty much working on that, but I think someday, we will make it solve another class from our class which is very good because we have an installation. If you start from the beginning, it's the third one, maybe you have the profile, so you will deploy it in maybe four days.

The solution is scalable. If a company needs to expand the service, it can do so easily.

We just have a handful of users on the solution. However, it fluctuates. Many users handle web servers and virtual guests.
