Tableau, PowerBI, and Looker were all reviewed and clear choices brought Qlik Sense out on top.
Its ability to score highly across the board makes it the best all-around tool, although the others score higher in very specific areas.

I evaluated Power BI and Tableau.
View full review »In four years I've evaluated Power BI and Tableau. I still work with Qlik since the tool is easier than the others and gives us the results that we need. We have all the connections to the sources of our systems.

We looked at Alchemex and Excel.
View full review »We had other tools in use so were asked to try those first. MicroStrategy and Domo just didn't meet our expectations. Tableau was close on the front-end, visualization aspect but lacked the speed and power on the back end.
View full review »We didn't evaluate any other options as the promotion on getting Qlik Sense whilst being a QlikView customer was too good.
View full review »We did not evaluate other solutions before choosing this one.

Comparing it with other BI tools, Qlik Sense stands out by requiring a front-end developer for optimal project development. Unlike Power BI, which needs BI developers, or Tableau and SAP BusinessObjects that don't require Java developers, having a front-end developer enhances the project quality in Qlik Sense.

We been using Qlik Sense Enterprise for two and a half years. It has been one of the best decisions we made. We were suffering form trapped data and multiple sources both inside and outside of the firewall. We needed something with a powerful (yet easy to understand and use) ETL component, and this fit the bill.

Yes, we looked at Domo and QlikView.
View full review »We evaluated Tableau and Qlik View prior to using Qlik Sense. The reason we didn't use Tableau was its limitation from the extension perspective: It wasn't able to produce the sort of graph that we wanted. QlikView and Qlik Sense did have the graph we needed via it's extension feature, but we deemed Qlik Sense to be more visually appealing and thus opted for the latter (plus it's also much cheaper).
View full review »Tableau, Power BI, SSAS, Targit, and some open-source projects like BIRT and Jaspersoft.

View full review »Qlik Sense is aligned to compete with Tableau "shoulder to shoulder".
