The solution offers good quality for the price.
I prefer low investment expenditures. I prefer paying less at the beginning of the project. After the customer base starts growing, I can pay more.
This solution is moderately priced. I would rate it three out of five.

The price was well over six figures. There are ongoing monthly costs for when they monitor the line and then if you activate the service then there is an additional cost. Essentially, you hold them with a retainer fee, and then when you go active, there could be an additional cost associated.
View full review »The price varies by use case and there are monthly and annual licensing options. If you deploy on-premise, there is an annual license with the amount dependent on the throughput you need and which features you will be using - i.e. IPS, behavioral, etc.

There is a different team the deals with pricing, licensing, and subscriptions. I don't have any knowledge as to the overall costs.

The product isn't cheap but it is also not expensive. It is affordable. It does the job we need it to do well. We lease on a yearly basis.

The cost for maintenance is cheaper because the majority of the deployments using the solution are in areas where cost of maintenance is also lower.

The solution is expensive. it is not a cheap option.
The DefensePro is not a cost-effective solution. It's very expensive. I have a lot of schools - K through 12 school districts. They want DDoS protection. When you're comparing it with a cloud service, which is a new emergent thing, a lot of ISPs offer it. However, if customers want to get their own DDoS protection, you have Cloudflare, who I think is Radware's biggest competitor, and they offer everything in the cloud. If you need something on-premises, it's going to be more expensive.
I did a price comparison between Cloudflare and this product, the three gig model, which is the minimum. What we needed was way too expensive, way over the budget for our client.

Currently, the pricing is quite reasonable. We have no complaints when it comes to the cost of the solution.
