Rapid7 InsightVM Pricing

DA
Cyber Security Analyst at a tech services company with 1-10 employees

A full license for the solution is expensive because it is at the organizational level and not by individual users. I used a free trial licensing by providing my email. For the free trial, you require a new license code each time and if you don't use a new email address it can take over a week to receive that code.

The solution's pricing is better than Nexus which charges a high amount for very little use.

Our licensing costs are somewhere around $40,000 annually. There are no additional fees. We will probably increase our license count annually as our environment kind of naturally grows. We started out with probably about a third of the network covered and we are up to probably 75, 80% now. We'll get that up to over 99%, I'm sure.

InsightVM's pricing can vary depending on the coverage needed. While it may not be the cheapest option, purchasing an unlimited license could be cost-effective for larger environments. For smaller needs, it might be more expensive compared to competitors. I would rate the affordability of the product at a four out of ten.

Pricing is reasonable because we pay according to asset usage. We can define our assets and sites according to our preference.

The solution's pricing depends on the number of users per month as per our contract. We have a limit of scanning around 4000 appliances. It covers a sufficient scope regarding our requirements.

Its price is too high. My only concern or issue with Rapid7 is its pricing.

We purchase annual licenses.

We provide our own support. We have resources that have been certified to work on the product. It is purely the license fee.

In terms of affordability, I would rate it a three out of five.

InsightVM is an expensive product, especially compared to its competitors, at around a million NOK per year. Support is included in the license for no extra cost. I would rate their pricing at one out of five.

It is pretty expensive. It depends on what you consider pricey, however, if you only look at vulnerability management solutions, such as within VM or VMDR, there are, I suppose the prices are almost the same. But I believe you will discover that for yourself.

This solution is expensive, but it's fine for us as we have an open budget for security solutions. Protection and having the system secured is more important.

The license could be a little bit cheaper. For all these features, you would expect to pay a little bit lower but around the same general price. Licenses are paid yearly. For some customers, we pay two years at a time, but mostly it's yearly.

The license is IP based. How many IPs you are using to scan is the amount of the license you have to buy. The number of users doesn't matter; many users can use it or only person. It depends on the culture of the organization.

We have 600 to 700 licenses.

The licensing is market-related.

The cost depends on the number of assets per annum.

It is very flexible. What's nice about it is, from a client's perspective, the environment can either grow and you can chew up, or it can shrink, and it meets whatever needs you have.

The licensing includes technical support.
