What do you think of IBM MQ?

Primary Use Case We use MQ for guaranteed delivery and once only delivery of important business to business transactions. We use persistence messaging to ensure messages are not lost in case machine is restarted. • Improvements to My Organization We have implemented business to business transactions over MQ messaging. The guaranteed and once only delivery ensures business integrity. • Valuable Features Reliability of message transmissions and ability to replay messages in case message ends up in backout queues. • Room for Improvement It needs a User Interface which is better than the aging MQ Explorer. The existing solution MQ Explorer is outdated. • Use of Solution More than five years. • Stability Issues We did not encounter any issues with stability. •...

What do you think of Avada Software Infrared360?

Improvements to My Organization The ability for development teams to have access to their MQ queues has freed us up as administrators to do things other than chase down an application’s message for research purposes. • Valuable Features - Monitoring that ties into our incident management system - Visibility of the MQ environment to non-MQ personnel • Room for Improvement The UI can be cumbersome - but we are still using the Viper interface and we have not had the time to check out the Alloy interface which is supposed to be much improved. • Stability Issues Not really, other than minor memory leaks. But a monthly cycling of the server is usually all that is required (which we have to do for patching anyways). • Scalability Issues We have not really pushed the...
