Ruckus Wireless Implementation Team
We have an in-house experienced networking team for all configurations.
View full review »The implementation can be done in-house.
View full review »The deployment time for setting up a controller typically ranges from two to three hours, depending on team complexity. However, I usually allocate around four hours to ensure the environment is fully functional before handing it over to the customer.
The deployment process is straightforward, especially for customers accessing our hosted environment. They configure their access point to point to our public IP address, and the access point joins the controller automatically. From there, I configure the domain and zones on the controller, typically completing the setup in less than fifteen minutes. However, for new setups, the process involves downloading the virtual controller image, implementing it, inputting all necessary details such as name and IP address, and configuring the controller settings. This process may take longer, especially when facing initial setup challenges.

Basically, set up the controller. Once the controller is set up, every unit connected to the system shows up in the system, and it's just adopted. A little bit of fine-tuning, and it's good to go.
Maintenance is really easy. I just have three technicians, on a permanent basis. But for tasks like cabling, I run all those myself. I use temporary staff when needed.

Our implementation process is very quick, and it normally takes only one or two days. It's especially quick to implement when we already have all the equipment and cabling ready to connect and configure on the customer's premises.
An integrator deployed Ruckus Wireless for my company, but my company is responsible for maintaining the product.

I deployed the solution by myself and used my colleague's help for the physical installation. The solution's deployment is easy. I first cleared the controller side and then configured the access point.

I'm not the person who really configures them, our vendor did all that. When they first went in, I took a look at the configuration, but I haven't really touched them since then. You can configure them and just leave them to do their thing.
I went in once and set up a guest network — it was pretty straightforward. I didn't even have to look at the manual to do it.
The vendor is responsible for all maintenance-related issues.

Once you deploy Ruckus Wireless correctly, there is no maintenance required. It is close to maintenance-free, except for some operational jobs which depend upon what the customer may want and that is where you need human intervention.

Our in-house team handles implementation and deployment for our customers, as well as the maintenance.
For the physical installation, including pulling cables and termination, we use two people. This is more than enough for 300 access points. For the initial setup and configuration, we have another two people, bringing the total size of the deployment team to four people.
As an example, for one resort island, the total deployment took about two months. The installation and configuration can be completed within one night, once all of the hardware is in place.
