It depends on the individual who is implementing it. If you have an experienced controller handler, it might take around eight hours to configure fifty to one hundred eighty units. You typically need at least one person for commissioning and configuring with a controller. For the standalone product, two people are sufficient to ensure power and connectivity, making it a three-person team for a smooth setup.

Ruckus Wireless WAN is easy to set up. It's very quick to deploy. Once you set up your wireless LAN controller and you start deploying access points, you can deploy the product out-of-the-box. Ruckus Wireless WAN has a self-updating function, and it immediately knows where to go. It's very easy to deploy.

You can quickly get help online from the Ruckus Wireless WAN community. You can even watch videos on YouTube on how to install and upgrade your servers. There was a complete series of installation videos, and I could install it myself. It was very easy and convenient.

The initial setup of Ruckus Wireless WAN is very easy. I rate the initial setup of Ruckus Wireless WAN an eight out of ten.

The solution is deployed on the cloud and on-premises, depending on the preferences of our company's customers. Right now, most of the people prefer the solution to be deployed on the cloud.

The solution's deployment takes around 15 minutes.

I wouldn't say that the setup is complex. It might not be as nice optically as the nice GUI that Extreme has, but they did some good improvements with the last update. For example, we can do the provisioning routes through the GUI platform now.

It's partially because we know what we are doing and we have templates set, but I would say that overall it is pretty easy to set up. I would give the setup process a five out of five.

The implementation process is straightforward. It's not complex. You just follow the guide.

Deployments don't take long; however, it depends on the requirement.

One person can manage the deployment. You don't need a big team.

The initial setup is easy. It is not complex.

The deployment time is determined by the end customer's work and requirements.

If the customer is a small business, we can finish it in one or two days.  If a corporate deployment type is required, we will need to integrate with another vendor.  If there are any special requirements, it could be more than that. As a result, we anticipate a corporate requirements deployment taking longer than a week.

If there are a hundred access points, the process will take longer. The number of access points may also be reduced. Essentially, the features vary depending on the features. If you see that they have basic feature requirements, we can finish it in one or two days at most.

The first thing we do is hold a site meeting. End-to-end site meeting with the end customer to understand what they want from the deployment, and what features they want to deploy. We conduct a thorough site survey. We verify the BOQ and check that everything is as it should be. We crosscheck the requirements, to determine the challenges.

Then we look at the site's construction and implementation, as well as the current state of the site. We will devise a strategy.

Initially, it's not so complex to implement. For a technical guy, it's normal. It's like every other solution; it's not very complex.

Depending on the setup, for a normal deployment, which would be two to five devices for a smaller-sized office, we can do it in one day.

We have five to ten team members trained on this, and multiple other products (including Sophos, FortiGate, and Cisco) and they can perform deployment and maintenance tasks.

How much staff you need for each deployment depends on the magnitude of the project. Normally, one engineer and one technician are enough for a deployment, which contains WiFi configuration in placement. However, in a case where cabling and infrastructure are needed, we need a different team. It depends on how much cabling is required. Depending on the requirements, we plan the project accordingly.

The implementation was complex. The setup was done in a multi-story building. Setting up the whole environment so that the different areas, different zones, and different localities we covered was a challenge. We had to work in quite a bit of detail. That was the concern at the time. You have to go into details so that you can manage it well.

The deployment was in two parts. One is the physical part, where we must deploy all equipment and the configuration part. The configuration took just one day to complete. The deployment part, over a multi-story building, took some time. It took maybe four to seven days. I don't remember exactly.

Since it was a new setup, it was a new environment; we had plenty of time to set up everything. That gave us quite enough room to cover any challenges which we faced. That said, being new, this was the first time that we were using this product. It took some time to understand some of the functions and some of the features of that product.

The deployment and maintenance is a one-person job. There isn’t much maintenance required. Sometimes if we see something overloaded or some switch is actually crowded, or if we connect with more users than the connections, we have to look at that. However, there's nothing much that we have to keep an eye on.

The initial setup is very easy and you can customize it as per the customer’s LAN and WAN requirements. The installation is different from client to client. It depends on the physical condition to install or finish the project.

I have a couple of people who do the physical deployment while I handle the configuration and server settings.

We do a survey where we ask customers about the kind of WiFi service that they are going to use like voice service, data service, etc. After the survey, we generate a heatmap using my account in the zone planner. I forward the report to the presales team after which they forward the quotation to the customer. If the customer approves the quotation, we go ahead with the installation.

The point where we get stuck is when the customer asks for multiple quotations. When we provide multiple quotations, there is a high chance of customization.

It takes approximately three months to deploy.

We have a network team of approximately six people who not only support wireless, they support switches, firewalls, and load balancers.

We have six people who support Ruckus as well as other areas. Three to four percent of the time, they are supporting issues with Ruckus.

The initial setup is very easy, although that is not the important part. It's about the distribution of access points based on where wireless coverage is needed and also trying to minimize the number and size of blind points. Blind points are those places where the wireless signal is very weak or doesn't exist. The map has to be designed using third-party software, of course.
