I have evaluated a couple of other solutions. Okta is a pure access management product. They have recently launched their Identity Governance suite. Okta and Cisco are more into access management with more focus on providing MFA and access regulation in the traditional sense, rather than going into the governance side of things. SailPoint, on the other hand, is more into identity governance with their workflows more natively able to support use cases with certification. These are two different genres of product so you can't make a direct comparison. If you have Okta or Cisco Duo, you cannot expect it to do a certification. If you have SailPoint, you cannot expect it to do an MFA for you. The market is moving towards a combined product that does everything and I expect each of these products to basically expand more to support all the other use cases. 

We have evaluated Oracle, IBM, and Micro Trend solutions. 

The methodology is very important, the methodology guides me and the customer to obtain the goal. Between all these solutions, this is the biggest difference. Additionally, the facility to build the data warehouse identity in order to have real identity governance is important. More specifically, the facility to create integration with the system and the way to make the governance of the data connectors are important because in other solutions you have to develop the code for the connectors. This includes low-level coding and business rules that have to be put in the DAT code, it takes a lot of time to have the functionality that you desire.

This is a mature solution, you can easily configure the connectors using a GUI interface. It makes the process a lot simpler. The business rules are model-specific and governed to reach the goals. This solution is straightforward to implement than another technology.

We had some smaller implementations with different products, but not similar ones.

We presented our project to a vendor and then did a proof of concept with several products before selecting SailPoint IdentityIQ.

Currently, we are looking for another option, which is EmpowerID.

We’ve reviewed Oracle Identity Analytics (OIA) and RSA as well as the Dell offerings. Of the three we found RSA Aveska the closest competitor to SailPoint; the Oracle and Dell offerings do not have the same depth of functionality. When doing feature-by-feature comparison as is in a typical RFP/RFQ the majority of IdM products look the same. There are two areas where IdentityIQ often proved to be better than competing products were ‘time to market’ (i.e. how long it takes and how much effort is required to start addressing real issues and delivering value to the business) and complex user access review scenarios.

We had our previous vendor submit in our RFP, but they did not bring anything to the table that was new. There weren't many enhancements and improvements to the product and we really did not have a good experience with their support. 

We were looking at One Identity. SAPIEN was another one we looked at. Also, Okta, NetIQ, and Centrify. But, some of them were mainly cloud-based. Some of them were a mix of both, but more of cloud and less of on-prem. So, SailPoint was the right one that handled both.

We had some use cases that we gave to them and we needed them to answer how they would implement that use case. We wanted that feedback out of all of the vendors. SailPoint was the only one that came back with the right answers.

SailPoint IdentityIQ is more efficient than Micro Focus. We chose SailPoint IdentityIQ because it is stable and the support is good.

We evaluated other solutions, but SailPoint IdentityIQ proved to be more adequate for us to use, and we found that not a single solution or tool was exactly better than SailPoint IdentityIQ.

Yes. We tried Oracle and ForgeRock IAM products.

I implement enterprise software solutions for my clients and SailPoint happens to be one of them.

Many clients considered the other main IGA solutions, like Oracle Identity Manager, CA Identity Manager, Microsoft Identity Manager, or NetIQ Identity Manager.

In several cases, the IdentityIQ deployment was due to a migration from other IAM solution (Oracle Identity Manager). Usually, before deploying an IAM solution, we do a benchmark test with the customer to get the best solution for their requirements.

I am currently dealing with SailPoint and One Identity at the same time in making some comparisons. They are both very good products with their pros and cons. 

Yes - NetIQ, Oracle, and SAP.

Aveksa was compared with Sailpoint identityIQ and Sailpoint IdentityIQ fared better in terms of performance and features.

I wasn't involved in the process, but other solutions were evaluated before choosing this one.

I did evaluate other options.

Oracle Identity Manager was the other one we helped evaluate.

I didn't evaluate previously, but I am currently evaluating Saviynt and IdentityNow.
