SailPoint IdentityIQ Valuable Features
The initial setup isn't so difficult.
The product can be flexible in the build. You can easily customize the workflows.
We can set everything up on the cloud, which makes things very easy. It can easily adapt to the PoC requirement and the set requirements on the app's online version.
View full review »I think the certification module is perhaps one of the most valuable features. The options are pretty intuitive and you can usually set up the certification easily without much time or resource investment. It consists of two parts, both of which are useful. I like the pre-built out-of-the-box connectors that have a plug-and-play kind of feature. Identity IQ is easy to integrate with other systems and offers a lot of options.

One of the most valuable aspects of SailPoint is its open integration interface. In my experience, it seamlessly connected with four different digital identity management solutions, offering both API and low-level code integration options. This flexibility, coupled with extensive documentation and strong support, ensured smooth integration without encountering issues like lost events or operational challenges.
Additionally, its reporting capabilities are exceptional, providing detailed and granular insights without any issues. Reporting features are highly effective for managing user certifications and role management.
The whole package is useful. It matches the item to the management, so I can't pinpoint any specific individual feature.

It's nice that everything comes out of the box in SailPoint.
Deployment takes a bit of time, however, once it's done properly, everything becomes very organized and easy to use.
The solution is completely stable. It's one of the best solutions on the market.

I find the built-in connectors, lifecycle management, certification, and recertification features to be the most valuable.
View full review »User Access Review, User Access Request and SOD Policy detection. Another important feature is IdentityIQ’s provisioning broker which allows us to either use its built-in provisioning engine or easily integrate with third-party provisioning and help desk/ticketing systems (such as IBM TIM/SIM, Oracle IdM, BMC IDM, BMC Service Desk, Novell IdM, Microsoft Forefront IdM, ServiceNow etc.) The backend provisioning of IdentityIQ is lightweight and fast to implement. Generally account provisioning can be setup in days versus weeks as is the case with some of the competing products.
SailPoint’s roots began with governance and compliance in 2006. Over time the IdentityIQ compliance and governance stack (user access reviews, SOD and access request) has evolved to provide deeper and more flexible functionality than we’ve found with competitors.

The most powerful feature of the solution is its platform-based approach. Unlike other solutions, this tool offers a high level of customization. It is an open and flexible platform, allowing users to tailor it to their needs. This ability to customize and adapt the solution to individual requirements makes the solution stand out as a powerful product.
This solution is easy to configure.

So far, we are still in the implementation phase, but one feature that is so valuable is the life cycle management of identity. We also like the integration with other systems. Is very robust and solid. They built some plugins that are really well thought out and they handle most of our requirements. We also like the user interface of the product.

SailPoint provides functionalities for various stages, such as joiner, mover, and leaver. Additionally, it offers features for account locking, unlocking, disabling, and immediate termination, facilitating smooth user management processes. This includes handling scenarios like pre-hires and future hires and managing users who accept offers but do not join on the specified start date. With SailPoint IdentityIQ, organizations can efficiently handle these scenarios by leveraging its comprehensive identity management tools and processes suite.

The big one now is that they're adding AI and machine learning to figure out automated approvals and make recommendations to their reviewers. So, if I bring up Doug McPherson and it says he has access to this application, the system will make a review based on peer group analysis. That's one of the biggest new things. The problem used to be that people would get everything loaded on, and they created too much work for themselves. Now, they can use these policies and start to let the machine pick the less risky things. If it says it should be approved, then automatically approve it. It's definitely a time saver for a lot of people.
It has got a great user interface, and it just does the job.

A feature of SailPoint IdentityIQ that I like best is that it has good integration with other platforms. My company is using ADP here in Brazil, and SailPoint IdentityIQ works very, very well with it. My company is also using the solution for governance evaluation, segregation, and other access tests. For my company, SailPoint IdentityIQ is a very important solution, especially because it's automated, and there's a huge audit and risk issue here in Brazil.

It provides a lot of out-of-the-box functionalities. You don't have to do too much custom development like other solutions such as Microsoft or NetIQ. It also has a lot of out-of-the-box connectors for different sources, directories, databases, etc.
Its cloud version is working very well, and its pricing is okay. Its value for money is fine for most of the customers. It is also very flexible. They have frequent new releases and patches for fixing errors and things like that.

There are lots of features. It depends on what your use cases are. Basically, how the entitlements are handled is very good. It's the complete lifecycle of entitlements. That is what the best feature is about the product.
It offers a single source of truth. Everything can be handled from one tier.
I focused on the functionality. We needed to implement everything properly, and those functionalities were pre-built in the product. We didn't have an issue in that sense.
The interface is simple and very usable. I have used other products and didn't see their interface as better than SailPoint.
The product is stable.
It is scalable.

For example, it offers different out-of-box connectors where we can connect with multiple forest configurations. The first valuable feature of the solution is its interface. The second feature of the solution is the level of flexibility it provides. So, it can be easily configured by a person using just a few rules and coding standards, after which that person can make anything out of the solution. SailPoint is quite an old solution in the market. So they know what new things are coming into the market along with artificial intelligence, and they have ensured that they have integrated into their solution the developments over time. Basically, SailPoint is up to date with the market standards.
