Good case management and BPM workflow with easy cloud implementation

What is our primary use case?

The solution is basically a quoting application. When insurance brokers or internal users have to call or do insurance quotes for commercial insurance, we use Pega. The insurance we cover is for outdoor coverage and for a casualty to property, as well as casualty insurance.

Pros and Cons

  • "The solution's case management is its most valuable aspect."
  • "They are currently spending some time on improving the product with respect to machine learning, especially related to robotic automation. They probably could be a little more adept on that area would help."

What other advice do I have?

We're just customers. We don't have a business relationship with Pega. Pega BPM is definitely one of the topmost BPM packages out there. It hits all the right notes for a containerized implementation. The only thing you need to be careful is that you definitely need experts to help you along the way, in both the design and the requirements capture. They have an excellent requirements capture tool as well. However, if somebody needs to be trained on that, you need the help of experts, both on the software architecture as well as business architecture as well as the Pega admin. Eventually, these…

Enhances the development process and is a comfortable environment for users

What is our primary use case?

Our primary need and use for this solution is in designing sales, order handling and support processes for BPM.

Pros and Cons

  • "The product has a comfortable GUI and a good environment for users."
  • "It needs some better notation functionality."

What other advice do I have?

On a scale from one to ten, with one being the worst and ten being the best, I would rate this as an eight. I think it is a good product but I am not so much of an expert having used it for only a short time. There may be features it is missing that I don't even know if I want or need, and yet that other products and solutions may already have those features.

Great cloud aspects and good integration potential but does work differently on different types of devices

What is our primary use case?

We're not in production yet. We're still very much in the early stages of this solution.

Pros and Cons

  • "The cloud aspect has been great. We don't have to do a lot of research in order to begin integrations. It's so easy to integrate with other solutions."
  • "We're not in production yet, so we're still working through some issues."

What other advice do I have?

We have a very good and very close relationship with Microsoft. I started working more on PowerApps as we were making a comparison with Salesforce. We decided on PowerApps mostly due to the fact that Salesforce would not work. We have to maintain our current environment, so at some point, it's not that we are 100% in these new tools. Right now we have more than 60% of our time in these new tools and try to not develop any coding. We do make some code in JavaScript, however, it isn't too much. It's a good solution. There is some coding needed for customization aspects, however, it's a pretty…

A feature-rich and stable platform with good redundancy and scalability

What is our primary use case?

Azure cloud is a platform for many things, such as hosting, file services, application or power apps, and data lake. All these things are a part of Microsoft Azure. We're using it as a full suite. We are a big tenant with all solutions for Microsoft. We are using the latest version of Microsoft Azure.

Pros and Cons

  • "The redundancy across different regions is the most valuable. It provides a big value for cloud services, especially for Microsoft."
  • "The level of authorization or authorization cascading can be improved. We have the most powerful admins and then we have sub-admins, but the level of authorization is not that easy to handle or manage."

What other advice do I have?

I would advise starting directly with Microsoft and then asking the vendors to recommend the trusted partners to work on the implementation or migration, and not vice versa. First, talk with the architect of the design and see if they can recommend a trusted partner who can do the implementation. I would rate Microsoft Azure a nine out of ten. It is a big product and platform. It covers many things in terms of features.
