When it comes to SAP Cloud Platform, the feature I find most valuable is the ability to leverage various services, such as the BTP platform. This allows customers to build their custom applications on BTP rather than customizing them directly on the SAP HANA system.

This approach avoids performance issues and reduces the high level of customization typically associated with development projects. By isolating customization to a separate platform, it becomes easier to manage and address any issues.

Though I'm not a massive fan of the SAP Cloud Platform, it has good features, such as its integration with other SAP solutions. When integrating with SAP or even the SAP sister company SuccessFactors and other companies SAP has acquired, you also enjoy data features in the SAP Cloud Platform, such as role-based permissions and other characteristics you can import from SAP.

One of the most valuable features I have found is that the solution is secure. It is a service based in the cloud. In terms of services, we don't have to plan to the last detail. It is pretty scalable. In terms of the typical functions we do in SAP, it meets most of the use cases quite well.

Earlier, we had interfaces in flat files for other middleware, specifically a legacy middleware system. The point of failure was spread across multiple areas, and the interfaces failed more frequently than what we needed. The monitoring was also challenging and required a different skill set. We had five different middleware systems, so we had five different maintenance teams, so consolidation was challenging. However, once we moved most of that to CPI, the maintenance costs, in terms of the maintenance teams, came down. We have much more certainty now about the functioning of our databases, leading to a decrease in instances of failure.

SAP Cloud Platform is a new tool in the market, so it's still not mature enough as it still lacks a lot of features. SAP Cloud Platform primarily focuses on SAP integrations, so it might work better if you have SAP's Digital Core. Tools like Salesforce or ServiceNow, are better choices than SAP Cloud Platform.

Feature-wise, I like it since it allows you to integrate with multiple applications. There are available connectors that allow you to integrate. Then, there are a lot of data analytics use cases you can implement once you are on the cloud platform.

It's an easy tool. We don't have to have an in-house maintenance kind of thing. The maintenance part can be outsourced easily. It's expandable based on the requirements and easy to expand as needed. We don't have to maintain all the infrastructure either.

The product captures data in real time. It enables real-time communication. We need not use the ETL process. The data is put up in report formats, and dashboards are created based on the reports. It covers all the areas of sales, finance, and manufacturing for reporting purposes.

I found flexibility most valuable in the SAP Cloud Platform because you can run applications flexibly on SAP or Microsoft Azure. I also like the scalability of the SAP Cloud Platform and that it's comparable to Microsoft Azure.

The best feature of this product is its integration with all SAP versions. I also like the Integration Suite, with CPI being its stable component. We use Workflow Engine and CPI as our two basic components. The platform also moved to a subscription model which was a major breakthrough. On the technical side, SAP provides guides and detailed documentation.
