What is most valuable?

I think that the ability to describe details of processes in ERP is significant comparing to BPMS.in SAP ERP it is the most interesting thing to me that there are many details prepared in advance which are very slight but important… more »

How has it helped my organization?

As far as I know, not only did not it help the organization to improve its processes, but also it did not shorten the length of processes. in fact it made the processes more longer than what it was, due to the low organizational and process… more »

What needs improvement?

I can not completely understand or agree with this opinion, but people say that the SAP ERP's UI/UX (User Interface/User Experience) is awful. It is true that it is very complicated. When employers in a company want to use ERP, you are… more »

What other advice do I have?

Because we can not do customizations of SAP easily in our company and because of its cost, I can not recommend SAP ERP to people in a similar situation because I know that it would be a failure for them. But because of the issues with… more »

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I do not know if other ERP solutions have a heatmap to show where there is the most activity. SAP ERP does not have this feature. Camunda has a heatmap that is used with the optimize and Cockpit module. The heatmap in Camunda gives you a… more »

What is most valuable?

I worked with some other ERPs previously and I am a computer engineer. I find it to be very stable in comparison to other systems. There is no downtime. That's important to us due to the fact that we have companies around the world and don't have specific service hours. It needs to constantly be… more »

What needs improvement?

The system is very big. It is not exactly user-friendly, due to the fact that it's so massive and complex. You need to put a lot of data into the system in order to get something out of it. The solution is expensive.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The pricing of the solution could be a bit lower. It's on the more expensive side, as far as solutions go.

What other advice do I have?

We're just a customer. We don't have any kind of business relationship with SAP. We aren't consultants or resellers. We use SAP ERP, and on the other side, on the office side, and the user side, we are straight Microsoft. I'd rate the solution eight out of ten. It's not exactly user-friendly and is… more »

What is most valuable?

The system can be integrated with other SAP functionalities - such as finance, production, sales, marketing, HR, et cetera, and can also be customized to become a model that's specifically designed for my business. That's the solution's most valuable aspect.

What needs improvement?

The solution is quite expensive. They need to work on the pricing to make it more reasonable. There are no extra features needed. It's quite a complete solution.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The costs are high in terms of licensing. It will be too expensive for many companies if they are considering using this solution.

What other advice do I have?

We're just customers. We don't have a business relationship with SAP. We are using the latest version of the solution. Although it is a good product, I'd recommend that other organizations consider an alternate solution. This is due to the fact that it's a very expensive model. For us, for the very… more »

What is most valuable?

It is a comprehensive and robust solution. It can provide lots of functional features. It's great for enterprise-level organizations.

What needs improvement?

The user interface isn't that great. This is an area they could really improve on. In general, a user should attend training before they can use this platform. There's definitely a learning curve. As a new user or employee, there may be some difficulty with onboarding. The assisting module is good enough for our construction company, however, some specific areas for construction domains are not… more »

What other advice do I have?

We're just a customer. We don't have a relationship with the organization. If a company is considering using this solution, they need to know that training is a must for new users and employees. I'd rate the solution at an eight out of a score of ten.

What is most valuable?

The transactional integration of operations is the best-recommended feature of this product. It provides integration of all operational modules.

What needs improvement?

The version that we are using lacks in reporting. The reporting feature needs to be constructed more in this product. There can be better scope for mobility. They could include the technical development of reports instead of depending completely on programming. The programming method needs to be easy.

What other advice do I have?

You need to be well prepared to implement this solution. The most important thing is that there should be management involvement. It should not be left alone to the IT team or the applications team. The key to the success of any ERP is the involvement of the management. I would rate SAP ERP a six out of ten. I won't rate it more than the average scale. This rating is based on the experience with… more »

What is most valuable?

SAP ERP has a solution for all our requirements. That is the only way I can put it because the evaluation was done by somebody else at our company many years back. What the product delivers kind of meets our requirements. That is the most valuable feature.

What needs improvement?

The biggest issue with the solution is that it could be a little more user-friendly.

What other advice do I have?

I do not think that SAP ERP fits perfectly to all industries. You have got to be careful in choosing it or other solutions. SAP is mostly good for manufacturing. It is good for certain sectors of the industry and works in our case, but it is not for every type of business. People do not have to do a lot of preparation before bringing the product onboard such as reading a lot of documentation… more »

What is most valuable?

Control and governance are the best features of SAP. We have good support as well and there is a big ecosystem around SAP where we can get technical support.

What needs improvement?

SAP is always costlier than other products so I'd like to see the pricing improved for preferred customers. Integration could also be improved.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We used JD Edwards before SAP and as a corporate move, all the plants went over to SAP and our department also moved eventually. The company chose a good product.

What other advice do I have?

For larger companies, I think SAP is the best solution we have in ERP. I would rate this solution an eight out of 10.
