SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud Other Advice

Suresh Tanneeru - PeerSpot reviewer

Most SAP providers operate very traditionally for developmental, service, and support activities. Slowly, providers are transitioning toward helping customers with a small pool of stacks, building POCs, and implementing in a bigger way to scale up a level. All of this gains confidence with the customer and is the kind of approach providers should follow.

At the same time, SAP should insist that partners or providers follow certain standards when dealing with customers.

I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

My advice for others considering HANA Enterprise Cloud is to thoroughly assess the pricing and understand their business model. It's important to trust but also verify as much as possible to avoid a fully managed service that leaves you unaware of what is happening. Better collaboration and providing standby resources would be beneficial to improve cooperation.

Additionally, it's advisable to have a fast-track resolution plan in place with SAP support to avoid delays caused by ticketing processes for issue resolution.

Overall, I would rate the solution a five out of ten.

We belong to the electronic consumer industry. The solution is almost the same as the ECC 6.0 version. We want the cloud version to have more automation and a bit of a revamp for better functionality.

I recommend the solution because it is definitely the future. I rate it a six out of ten.

I definitely recommend it. As far as its roadmap and how it's running, it's about the SAP HANA DB. By 2027, every customer must migrate to SAP S/4HANA. There is no proper service support after 2027.

Overall, I would rate the solution a nine out of ten.

I advise others to ensure they have a technical staff to handle cloud deployment and maintenance if they go for the solution. It is essential to have an internal team that understands how IP works to maintain it well.

I rate the solution as an eight as I think the product could be more efficient. It's a great solution, but there are price tags associated in terms of licensing and renewals.

I recommend the solution to those who plan to use it. If SAP is well-implemented and the processes in an IT environment are well-prepared and customized to handle the product, then it can be one of the best products in an infrastructure.

I rate the overall product a nine out of ten.

If a customer is looking for the latest innovations or products from SAP this solution is perfect for them. It also offers seamless integrations with other players.

There are companies that you can use to layer on top of it. You can take the AWS platform and then put SAP on top of that. Or you can take Google cloud, or Azure, etc.

It's a bit expensive compared to lead other platforms because the support is directly from SAP. However, it's quite good support.

I'd rate the solution nine out of ten.

I use FinOps from Microsoft Azure for some financial analysis in my company.

A technical team consisting of eight members is required to take care of the maintenance part of the solution.

I know and have a test certificate in SAP Integrated Business Planning Software for Supply Chain.

I recommend the solution to other users since I believe that not only me but also many other companies will soon begin to see a future for the products offered by SAP.

I rate the overall tool an eight out of ten.

Security is also pretty good because if you look at most of the SAP systems you do have secure access to SAP with support. Even when you're not on the Cloud they still provide secure access to SAP.

I would advise anyone considering this solution that they should get it. It is very technical, it is very good. One, it is very good and second, they don't need to have a data center to quickly get off the ground since it's everything under one solution.

On a scale from one to ten, I would rate HANA Enterprise Cloud certainly an eight.

To get it to a ten, they should probably offer more cloud services. Most of the cloud infrastructure providers we have make everything pretty transparent, you know what you're getting, you have all these metrics and measurements and everything in the dashboard. Here you have to go through the contracting negotiations and all those things. So mainly it is because of the specializing and connecting but overall customers need them for production then they simplify it.

It is important to remember that this product is not a replacement for a data warehouse. We can use this as a Data mart/data lake.

It does have additional features such as predictive analytics but again, it is not meant to replace the data warehouse.

This is a product that I recommend for others. It is powerful, without a doubt. In time, I think that it will be mature enough to handle more situations.

I would rate this solution a eight out of ten.

Before purchasing the solution, it is important to have the buy-in from top management to drive the implementation. Additionally, the right people need to be put in place to implement the solution.

Integration is another consideration since it can be a challenge. Planning is essential to the success of the integration of SAP HANA.

We are in the process of digital transformation, but due to the current situation, things are on hold. The entire HANA project is currently on hold, but we are still using SAP and the ECC version of SAP.

I would suggest preparing for the project because it will require a significant investment of time, resources, and training.

I would rate SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud an eight out of ten.

Director - SAP Mid Market at a tech services company with 1,001-5,000 employees

I would rate this solution 8 out of 10.

These days there are a lot of other solutions or other options that SAP has provided, and SAP themselves are providing a choice of different clouds now. So, they have tie-ups with many of these providers in different countries. The     providers vary from country to country, but they have more options now than they had in the past.

I would always advise the customer to go to the other options because it's more expensive because of services that SAP provides. As an integrator, we provide some of those services, and some of those services provided by us at much lower cost than what SAP would be able to provide.
