I have done both as a CHRO working with the implementation partner teams and now as a SAP Partner we do the implementation viz., BluTech Talent Plus LLP for other organisations.

The amount of people we need to support the solution depends on the project, but per client support, you need approximately 10 people to support one client.

We took assistance from consultants to implement the product in a few companies. At the same time, we implemented it ourselves in one of the companies.

We used the SAP partner for deployment. Our experience was quite good.

We took help from an IBM consultant for the HCM module, they were quite helpful. The deployment process had a blueprint that we followed. We checked the blueprint against some scenarios. Once everything looked good, we went ahead and launched the deployment.

For implementation, SAP offers little support unless you buy SAP Safeguarding from SAP Consulting.

The deployment time for SAP largely relies on your preferences. If you aim for a quick deployment, that's achievable, but if you prefer a more gradual approach, that's also possible. Typically, it depends on four to five people and the number of modules in use within the organization, usually ranging from five modules. We are the people who do the implementation and consultation and that is because we have worked a long time in the field and have become experts. Almost every customer who is coming to this product without knowing it well and what the capabilities are needs to seek the help of an integrator or consultant.  

We have up to thirty engineers available to do the implementation and maintenance of the solution. The size of the deployment dictates how many engineers we will need.
