The system is old, so there are several issues that arise when we fetch data from integrated systems. Sometimes the data gets stuck, and there are instances where we need to access multiple pieces of information simultaneously. This creates problems that I have personally experienced.

Therefore, these aspects need to be much more free-flowing and seamless. If something gets stuck, it takes time to resolve, and during the contract phase, we have Service Level Agreements (SLAs). If those SLAs are breached, it becomes problematic. Given that there are approximately 3000 projects running concurrently worldwide, utilizing the system with a vast database and numerous activities taking place. 

It could benefit from decentralization. Currently, it operates as a central system, but if it could be centralized for specific subsidiaries, it would be easier for us to manage.

We have a department for software development, and it would be valuable if SAP integrated seamlessly with some products like Jira and Bitbucket. It'll help if it can be integrated with these products for tracking team performance in the project.

The solution can be improved by:

• Initiative and item prioritization
• More standardized reports
• Standard workflow for stage-gates or decision points
• Complete status schema for all objects
• More flexibility to refer budget into financial planning

I would also like them to include "consulting solutions" into the standard functionality. Most of the complex solutions of SAP PPM come from "consulting solutions" that are implemented as an additional feature with a fixed price. This cannot happen anymore. Functionality has to be placed into the standard solution in order to compete with other PPM solutions.

In addition, this solution can be improved by using it along with different SAP solutions, such as with the SAP PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) platform product. When using SAP PLM with SAP PPM, you can improve any business process and give support to all areas.

The product itself could have an advanced analytics layer with an improved user interface that is adapted to the new digital era.
