SAP Process Orchestration Implementation Team
A third-party involvement is required for the installation of the product.
View full review »We are the system integrators. Deployment steps are standard SAP procedures. We build a system, download the software from the SAP standard site, configure mappings with third-party and source ERP systems, and we're good to go.
For a new build, one database resource and three to four people for source and normal PI configuration should suffice.
It is easy to maintain the solution. You just need to follow standard SAP procedures.

I am the implementation consultant and I can say that the pre-requisites and staff requirements for implementing SAP are very target dependent, and it all depends on the project at hand.
Like most other middleware tools, it's not particularly demanding in terms of having lots of people involved. However, you do need professionals who are well-qualified.

Deploying SAP Process Orchestration for a couple of interface scenarios can be accomplished within a timeframe of four to eight weeks. Leveraging our in-house consultants, the initial steps involve managing the hardware and determining the landscape structure—whether opting for a two or three-system configuration. Configuration activities include linking all satellite systems to the SAP PO system and establishing necessary settings such as File Landscape Extension, exchange profiles, technical systems, and business systems. The next steps involve defining these elements within the SAP Process Orchestration environment. Once the groundwork is laid, the interface development process begins. Breaking down the interfaces into specific formats and fields is crucial. This involves creating mappings for the fields, specifying how data exchange should occur between systems. This comprehensive exercise is undertaken by the SAP Process Orchestration consultant.

We use an integrator that helps with writing an ideally based product. The requirements keep on changing from the functionality of the business and users. We have to integrate and do the transformation based on that. It's very suitable for ideal based technology where the requirements keep on changing from the user and we keep on updating the map inspections.
