Thanks to its stability, a lot of customers are running SuccessFactors in a lot of different countries, and not just the MEA region. It's a very successful product in this sense.

I don't think it is a stable product. Also, its stability depends on the industry it is used. So, it depends on how you use it, the industry, and in the business process. A business process should never be bent on what the system tells you and the system's limitations. If you do so, then the product is not right for your business. So, you need to get another product that's right for your business. There's already a product here that is beating down SAP in South Africa. So, they're busy now building the market data and the performance contract. I can tell you that in another maybe three years, all clients are going to leave SAP and move on to that local product.

The solution is very reliable. We receive advanced warnings when upgrades are going to be made, usually on a Friday or Saturday night. This gives us plenty of time to inform our team that the system will be down for approximately 24 hours, usually over the weekend. Since 2020, we have been using the system full-time and have only had two outages, one of which was our fault. An employee in our implementation department mistakenly deleted items they should not have, resulting in a 24-hour outage. Fortunately, since we are in the cloud, we were able to log a priority one call with SAP and they restored our entire system within 24 hours using the previous night's backup.

The solution is stable.

In the HR module, yes this solution is stable. It has been three months since we ran the payroll from SuccessFactors. We are not facing any software issues. We are facing issues with a change mind of our users in some branches, but not in all the branches.

For payroll in terms of stability, I built the payroll engine for the Gulf area so when you're the developer, you're able to help the end user and you keep on developing the solution the way they want it.

Now we deployed it the standard way and we just added some small configurations for the countries in scope, except for Iran and Lebanon.

SuccessFactors is a stable product. When a new employee under me joins, I get an email notification from SuccessFactors. The push notifications, etc., work seamlessly. I don't have any complaints about stability. I never experienced any delays with any push notifications or important organizational structures.

In terms of system stability, data integrity is good.

The solution is stable. 

I have found the stability of SuccessFactors to be on par with other ERPs. And with my frequent exposure to HRMS and other tools, I would even say that SuccessFactors has an edge over these other solutions in this regard. If you're not utilizing the full capability of the solution, however, you are not easily going to see the benefits of it. As long as you are using it fully and effectively, SuccessFactors will perform as you need it to.

I can't comment much on maintenance because we leave that to the IT
department. They have around 20 employees, but not all of them are
working solely on supporting SuccessFactors because it is just one of
about 29 other SAP modules that we are using (not to mention the eCommerce side of our business), and there are many other tasks which they carry out.

Stability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

The performance is good. It is mostly stable. However, due to the fact that it is a cloud, we might have connectivity issues that could affect the stability. Sometimes it takes time. That said, overall, it is good.

There are occasions when you want to do some technical updates and it will shut down the server for eight to ten hours. Usually, there will be an agreement between SAP and the customer and we try to shut down the server during off-hours. This means, however, that the availability is not 100%. Still, it is, on average, quite stable.

We have not really had any stability issues. During performance review time (i.e., August/September) there seemed to be data center issues where associates were all having system timeout issues, data was being lost from Performance Reviews documents, etc. This has been resolved, but was an issue at one time.

SuccessFactors was down completely for one day. All the companies which were using the Amsterdam datacenter were down from 8:00 in the morning to 18:00 in the evening. Production, QA, Training, and Dev with all their instances were down.

Sometimes we have a problem with the data center, it gets disrupted. We cannot log in to our system and it affects other integrated systems that we integrate with SuccessFactors to get data. If the data center has a problem, we're all locked out.

We encountered stability issues in integration of SuccessFactors with SAP ECC HCM via Dell Boomi middleware; still more standard integrations are expected from customers.

The solution is stable in my experience.

We had stability issues very often during the end of the year and after updates.

Not on the platform side. At the end of 2015 there are been issues in the Data Center based in Germany with access problems.

There are regular updates and obviously you have to keep it up yourself on a quarterly basis. That's a bit of pain, but at the end of the day it's all about digitalization and HR transformation.
