We implemented SentinelOne Singularity Complete in-house, with the support of the SentinelOne team, whenever we had questions.
View full review »The number of people involved in the deployment varies. We are a multi-continent and multi-country organization, so we had somewhere between 15 and 20 people working on it. In terms of the people who actually use it, there are probably five or six. We have one person who constantly works to deploy within North America and one person who works to deploy in APAC. We personally work to deploy it within EMEA and then the rest of it is us just working on maintaining it and making sure it is doing what it is supposed to be doing.

We did the implementation ourselves. We have several teams responsible for each area:
- Two to four people for workstations.
- Two people for a retail environment
- Two people for the server infrastructure.
This provided resource continuity. In case one resource would be unavailable for any reason, then the other resource would be able to continue. Essentially, the deployment needed three people, but we had six for continuity.

We acquired our SentinelOne implementation through a reseller. We used the reseller's help, but we did almost 90% of it ourselves. They helped us manage the project piece and provided expertise and guidance. Between SentinelOne and the vendor itself, we got it done, but we did 90% of the heavy lifting.
There were probably four or five people between all of our locations, but most of it was done remotely. There was no need to touch individual desktops. We were able to push most of it out.

The number of people required depends on the number of endpoints, but generally, the number is low because it is a very simple installation. In fact, we even have end users running this.

The deployment of Singularity Complete involved some consultation, as we collaborated with a partner who facilitated the onboarding process with SentinelOne. While the partner occasionally provides support, larger issues are infrequent, and overall, the deployment has been relatively smooth. We have implemented it across various locations. There is some maintenance involved in managing Singularity Complete.

We did the deployment ourselves. We only needed one guy to do all those things centrally, which was nice. I was the primary person responsible for the deployment. I would occasionally enlist some help with my coworkers, specifically when we were initially deploying it to go over and test it on some machines. Once we got past the initial deployment, it was just me.
In terms of maintenance, it is no more than a mouse click away. I can upgrade agents in batches, which I normally do, and they are very aggressive about creating new agent versions. The agent versions actually contained more capability. Right now the agents are extremely powerful. I can update every agent here at once, all I have to do is select them and deploy the agent to them. It's very easy.

We did not use an integrator, reseller, or consultant for the solution's deployment. I have had some experience with SentinelOne in the past. We just read through some of the documentation and asked a couple of questions. There was also some information on what other administrators have done to implement the solution.
That has worked well, and things have been pretty smooth sailing since the implementation. I've been pretty happy in that regard, and it wasn't a big pain to replace our existing antivirus solution. Two other guys were involved in the solution's deployment, but I was heading up the task.

Once the tenant was created, they gave us an overview of how to use it. The product is quite straightforward and easy to use and. There are probably elements we could go through further with SentinelOne, but I don't know if it's because I buy through a third party. Maybe, the third party is supposed to do more, but I'm not sure.
The reseller that we purchased SentinelOne from is O2 Mobile, and the experience was fine.

The integrator we used was DnA-IT. They only did the installation for the first implementation.
Now that we are going back to the workplace, I will start to work with them on an hourly basis, and we'll learn about all the features from them. They have good guys who know what I need and what we're going to do. I am one person who supports 400 people, so I need the time to sit with the system and to learn it. The system has a lot of features that we don't use or that we don't understand how to use because we haven't had a lot of time in the past year to research them and sit with the company to teach us. We work with the basic features, things like the blacklist and the USB restrictions. The integrator will show us how to use the more advanced features. I'm starting to think that if we can implement all the features from SentinelOne, I will be able to cut the antivirus that we are paying for.
We also use DnA-IT for support. If necessary, they open a ticket with SentinelOne.

When it comes to deploying the agent across machines within the environment, it's a relatively straightforward process, akin to pushing it through the system's processor. The implementation strategy is contingent on the specific cluster, taking into account factors like the proof of concept and the desired objectives. In our case, we managed the implementation independently, involving only a few people. The deployment model is highly variable and depends on the customer's preferences. They typically communicate their preferences to us, and we adapt accordingly. Some opt for in-house hosting, while others prefer a cloud-based approach. It doesn't require maintenance.
