Skybox Security Suite Previous Solutions
I have worked with Qualys and Tufin.
Skybox Security has better vulnerability management than Tufin. Qualys is very good, but it does not prioritize vulnerabilities in the same way as Skybox Security.

Most of our customers were using custom tools or scripts. They may have been trying to get insights from Cisco or Juniper.
Once businesses grow and mature, they understand the need for viral or vulnerability management tools. The solution can operate with custom tools so it provides the needed coverage.
For example, customers might have specific scanners but they do not cover or provide reports for all of the infrastructure's vulnerabilities. It is important for IT to manage the configuration of all network devices while competently managing vulnerabilities.

I used AlgoSec at another company. Skybox Security Suite is nicer than AlgoSec.

We also, work with Tufin. We have not been working with it for that long, we are in the POC phase. We are testing the tool.
We are also considering AlgoSec. I believe that is our current favorite, but we don't have a final decision at this time, but it appears to be AlgoSec.

The other ones that I've looked at or used, or I have seen used in the past, are Kenna Security, FireMon, AlgoSec, Tufin. There are a couple others too, but these are off the top of my head.

We've since moved from Skybox to another solution, therefore, we aren't using it anymore. About four to six months ago, we migrated from Skybox to another tool called AlgoSec.

We were not using any other solution, not something similar to Skybox at least. Our principle company was using a competitor product from Tufin. Their use case was fairly limited to firewalls. We wanted something beyond firewalls and also wanted an ability to manage and automate the change on the firewalls, etc. That is why we went for Skybox.

I used the AlgoSec. AlgoSec wasn't broken up into modules, it was one solution. It was good; again, not perfect, but then their prices just got ridiculous. The fact that Skybox is broken up into modules and you only have to pay for what you're actually going to use, that was the main reason for switching. The pricing was secondary. AlsoSec doesn't do everything that Skybox does, but they were charging a lot more.

We use several different solutions: Qualys, ServiceNow, Rapid7. We did not switch but have Skybox ingest all logs to provide an action plan.
