What do you think of SailPoint IdentityIQ?

Valuable Features Security and administration for any new/current access. Manage process and search information. • Improvements to My Organization It improves the function for CMS - the website is a centralized system to manage accounts and access for CMS applications. • Room for Improvement It allowed to implement the automated processes when a new employee is hired. It allows to have a main central process for new hires. • Use of Solution I've used it for three years now. • Deployment Issues No, but we encountered some bugs after the implementation and they were fixed. • Stability Issues A few of them - they were connection and performance issues but they both have been fixed. • Scalability Issues Yes. We needed to contact Sailpoint directly to...

What do you think of Oracle Identity Manager (Oracle IAM)?

Valuable Features It brings centralized management of all the identities for the E-Business Suite; that's the central feature. • Improvements to My Organization It streamlines the management of users, and it also provides compliance, in terms of the policies around maintaining identities, expiration, and so on. • Room for Improvement It is cumbersome to deploy; there are multiple layers in terms of trying to get it to work; and they're also limited in terms of the number of products it can integrate with. • Deployment Issues As far as deployment being cumbersome, I think it's just the nature of the product. For the version that we have, you need to have your own directory services or ID on top of that. Then you have to integrate it to Active Directory; that's another...

What needs improvement?

I am pretty happy with the outcome so far this year. We have yet to hear from the customers. I have not updated it myself and I have not done any work with customers. Looking at their roadmap, they have a broad grasp of the security features... more»

What do you think of Core Access Assurance Suite?

Valuable Features Valuable features include access request, certification, and password management • Improvements to My Organization Provide centralised identity-access management • Room for Improvement Application integration, reporting, and certification could be improved • Use of Solution More than three years • Stability Issues The product is only as good as the data you use • Scalability Issues Moving from v7.x to v8.x is not easy. You need Courion expertise and skills to upgrade and migrate the data • Customer Service and Technical Support I would rate the technical support at 8/10 • Previous Solutions Previously, using a custom in-house IDM/IAM • Initial Setup You need a level of knowledge about Courion to setup • Pricing, Setup Cost...

What is most valuable?

As a company, the most valuable feature that we have is our almost real-time feed from our HR systems into CA Identity Manager, which then feeds down to all of our directories or applications that an employee could potentially need to access.

How has it helped my organization?

The multitude of end-points that we can connect to, whether it is an out-of-the-box connector or through a JNDI or a JDBC connection. We can connect to just about every application that we so far have tried to connect to with relative ease.

What needs improvement?

One of the biggest features that we are looking at is more cloud-based options. Right now, there is a connector to Office 365. While it is okay for smaller companies like us, as a 300K plus operation, it is not really quite where it needs to... more»

What is most valuable?

Its reliability when it comes to synchronizing directories is the most valuable feature. It is very safe to be based on events.

How has it helped my organization?

For many years we had Novell eDirectory as the main directory, to which was added LDAP, AS400, Active Directory, Google, and SAP. The greater strength was to keep the identities synchronized without failures in both attributes and passwords.... more»
