Good network monitoring and alerting to potential problems

What is our primary use case?

This solution makes up part of our security and network monitoring solution.

Pros and Cons

"There are alerting mechanisms in place to let us know, for example, if a device is not responding to a ping test and is probably not going to work."

"I would like to see better integration with other products."

What other advice do I have?

Overall, this is a very good product and one that I recommend. I would rate this solution an eight out of ten.

A reasonable-priced monitoring solution with good reporting

What is our primary use case?

We are a Managed Service Provider and we recommend solutions to our clients. SolarWinds Pingdom is one of the security-related products that we have experience with. The primary use case is to monitor our deployed endpoints. We also use it to test the response times of applications.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable features are monitoring and reporting.

What needs improvement?

The creators of our applications do not necessarily agree with the information that Pingdom reports. Technical support could use some improvement.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using SolarWinds Pingdom for about six months with this company.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

So far, we have not had any trouble in terms…
