We worked with one of our partners for deployment. 

The solution is very easy to maintain. 

I deployed SonicWall NSa myself. Deployment was very easy.

Last January 14th, one of my firewalls went down, so we had to replace it, but it was unfortunate that we didn't enable the local backup. At the time, what we had was the factory set up option for the device, so it took me six hours to fix, e.g. applying for the policy site to the site VPN, creating the users, etc. All those processes took a minimum of five to six hours.

I didn't use a vendor or a third party for the deployment of this solution. I only had to call their support if there was something I couldn't understand, e.g. why the traffic wasn't working, etc. For some of the processes, I took notes from their support, while for the rest of the processes, we can do it by ourselves.

An in-house team implemented SonicWall NSa together with a local support team.

We implemented SonicWall NSa as we're SonicWall resellers.

Our networking team deploys SonicWall NSam in one or two days. Just one network engineer is required to deploy and maintain SonicWall NSa.

SonicWall's technical support helped us with implementation.

We handled the implementation in-house. We did not need an integrator or consultant to assist us.

For my organization, I deployed it with my support partner, and it has been working fine over the last few years.

We used a SonicWall NSa consultant for the deployment. 

We hired our vendor partner to do the initial implementation for us. We didn't handle it in-house.

We used the local redistributor here in Bahrain. They were knowledgeable and had SonicWall experience, so they didn't face much of a challenge. It was straightforward. The only difference is that we went with high availability — two devices.

I am the only one who maintains the solution.

Obviously, no OEM deals directly with them. We have their channel partners who did the installation.

We have only two people who have been managing it for the last three years or so. We didn't face any challenges.

We have an in-house SonicWall specialist.

In-house only. Level 2 techs can handle most tasks.

We are resellers, so the clients who purchase the firewall deploy it themselves. We provide support, too.

We used a Dell partner who had a great level of expertise.

I have implemented this solution many times. Some of these were on my own, while in some cases I obtained the help of a consultant. The consultants are great. They are well educated and know how to use the product.

It was all done by myself.

I was able to handle the process myself. I did not need the assistance of a consultant or integrator. 

The solution was implemented by our internal team. Our team participated in an official solution training prior to deployment.

I used to work on SonicWall regularly. Now, I am working as an IT analyst and my job is to check the SonicWall configuration and test it. For example, I have to check the policy and then audit which ports are open.

We handle the integration for our customers.

We implemented it with the assistance of SonicWall. 

In-house

I have had SonicWall for a really long time and I have had people help me to set it up, although I have always understood what has been done. As it has been updated, it has become more involved and more complicated, and things have moved around so I have to spend time finding where things are in the newer versions.

I recommend a 30-day test run in monitor mode. If you decide on this product, spend the extra dollars and get a second unit to setup an HA system. No down time during SonicOS upgrades or major configuration changes.

If you expect to operate at 10GB, keep one or two extra 10GB SFPs as spares, even though they are not cheap.

If you need DUAL WAN and VPN Config, you need a network professional to set it up.

The vendor's team completed the initial deployment for us.

We have a team of three engineers who manage the firewalls.
