Sonic has been very progressive, continually updating their product-line and service offerings to stay current with, and ahead of the evolving security landscape. Again, they have consistently developed great solutions for both the SMB and enterprise market which has enable our support team to leverage their expertise with Sonicwall across our entire client base.

The solution offers the right amount of control without being incredibly convoluted and frustrating, or without being too dumbed down where you don't have options to do certain things. It's very to the point with the controls and simplifies things for us. It's great value for money. 

It provides our organization with very low throughput.

Its ease of installation has improved my organization. That's what I do most. I install the firewalls.

It has been helpful in many ways. We can see the bandwidth usage for users and how they have used it. From time to time, we get complaints that the server is a bit slow, and we then go to the reporting part to check the bandwidth usage for each user. It has also blocked a couple of viruses.

The site-to-site VPN allows for consistent communication between sites.

Upgrading the OS is easy and they alert you when an upgrade is available.

Content filtering and gateway security has help reduce visiting unwanted websites and attacks.

Logging helps track down issues bandwidth hogs.

We use the content filter and the SSL VPN: 

• The content filter has increased our productivity, especially during working hours. We don't have users spending time on social media during working hours. This means productivity is good. 
• Then, when the guys are offsite, they are still able to work without taking any breaks due to the SSL VPN that we use.

We have a centralized firewall here and it will take some bandwidth just like a broadband connection, but with low bandwidth or mobility connection. Through that, we can connect from the HQ to all our branches on those devices, through that particular antennae. All the data transmitted from the corporate office to branch offices works smoothly on the low bandwidth.

I have found this solution to be easier to use when compared to other products, such as those offered by Cisco.

With this solution, our facilities are able to act as one, easily sharing resources.

The log analyzer in SonicWall TZ is something that they need to improve upon. With other firewalls, they have built-in storage. We also need to retain the logs for analysis.

With SonicWall TZ, these features are less when we compare it to other solutions.

SonicWall TZ has a number of benefits to customers.

One benefit is the visibility of the network and activities that are happening on the network, which enables customers to improve on their policies. For example, if a  customer sees that YouTube is consuming a lot of bandwidth, they can revise the policies and allocate less bandwidth to YouTube, then give more bandwidth to business critical applications.

Another benefit of this solution is that it's able to bring a lot of visibility to things that are hidden from a normal IT person's view, so now that these things are visible, users are able to make quick decisions. For example, there was an organization that was complaining that they have less bandwidth, so we implemented the firewall and noticed that whatever they were getting, they needed to add more, before they're able to add more bandwidth from their ISP. 

The simplicity of SonicWall TZ is also one of the things I like about it.

This solution protects the network. It lets me monitor in live time if someone is 'hogging' bandwidth. It lets me block websites, and the list goes on.

It is a very nice tool to have on the school network.

We like the graphic user interface on SonicWall TZ. We use matrix principles to improve our organization.

It allows us to be a little bit less worried about what's coming in and it does the same for our clients too.

This product has a really good algorithm to find and deal with any kind of malware that comes into our network. We have had no incidents at all of any kind of piracy, corruption, etc.

We bought a T115 which was working fine, but when we went to renew the contract, it jumped to twice the amount. I asked why and was told the two-year-old model was being discontinued. My option was to upgrade to a SOHO or TZ. Not only was this a waste of money, but it also made me look bad.

It has provided the necessary security, that's what it's there for.

We have several locations, each with a VPN to a central office. SonicWall provides each location with its own security and provides our company with the ability to centralize our servers so they can provide applications to all the locations and users.

The technical support for the end user was reduced because the wipe action was already controlled. Also, the gateway antivirus prevented any virus from getting onto PCs or laptops. The administration of our network is very efficient.

We sell the product, and we have a lot of business for it, and our customers are happy with the solution.
