Functional administrative controls, highly scalable, and reliable

Pros and Cons

  • "I have found the best feature are the administrative controls."
  • "This solution is running on the Eclipse platform and this is where all the designing takes place. The Eclipse performance should be improved. The Open Studio tool we have been using for the development is not up to the industry standard and the performance should be improved."

What is our primary use case?

The primary use case is to integrate cloud and on-premise environments making them into a hybrid system.

How has it helped my organization?

ESB will connect in real-time data between the two systems. For example, for one of our customers, we implemented Salesforce and with an on-premises system but the account master data and project master data did not work together. As soon as it requests the information, I have to fix the data from the SAP on-premise with this solution. This is the use case for service and sales implementations. The solution has enabled us to be able to fix our data by combining the cloud and on-premises systems which has helped a lot.

What is most valuable?

I have found the best feature are the administrative controls.

What needs improvement?

This solution is running on the Eclipse platform and this is where all the designing takes place. The Eclipse performance should be improved. The Open Studio tool we have been using for the development is not up to the industry standard and the performance should be improved.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using this solution for approximately three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is very stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I have found the solution is highly scalable.

How are customer service and technical support?

I would rate the technical support of Sopera Advanced Service Factory a nine out of ten.

How was the initial setup?

The solution should be easier to install and the proper documentation should be provided on the Talend portal for easy access for the customers.

What about the implementation team?

Most of my clients have used Talends consultants for the implementation of the solution.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

This solution is less expensive than competitors.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I have evaluated MuleSoft or Dell Boomi. The main difference between these two solutions and this one is they are completely cloud-based and they have no issues when the new features are upgraded, they do not disturb the existing integrations or interfaces. With this solution, when we implemented new versions from the manufacturer the new version may not work for the existing interfaces. We then need to test and redesign the interfaces which are very difficult to do.

What other advice do I have?

I would recommend this solution to others. It uses a Java environment and most of the technical consultants have a java skillset making for easy management of the solution.

I rate Sopera Advanced Service Factory a nine out of ten.
