I handled the implementation myself. I did not need the help of any consultants or integrators.

We have local support in Kenya and can get help if we need assistance. 

If we already have a backup, we can restore it. If it's a fresh installation, where we have to set up even the basic policies, it may take 30 minutes.

The solution’s deployment takes one to two days.

We had a vendor join me in the deployment. We also had an expert come in when we faced difficulties with implementation.

We know all the deployment steps and can guide your client over the phone. The customer can then install it themselves, and if they have a dedicated technical team, they can handle it independently.

For example, we need to know what kind of internet connection they are using, such as Broadband, IOL, or something else.

We need to know why they are using a firewall because we have to create policies and define the bandwidth, how much bandwidth they want to use, and what they are trying to protect. So, we need such details for the deployment. 

We have 25 employees with different designated roles. And they can provide online support. Mostly engineers. We have different versions of the product.

For the initial installation, one person is sufficient. However, our team comprises three to four people who handle support and installations.

It's easy to maintain. One person can handle the maintenance, but our team provides support and maintenance services.

Installation was handled by our own team. 

At the initial stage, we decided that once we were putting the new structure in, we would go through Cyberoam, so we connected through a dealer. They came and did the complete setup. It was quite smooth. It took around two to three days to do the complete setup and it was up and running. There was not much of a hassle there because they managed it.

None of my employees were in that area where the setup was done. The team was all alone to complete the setup. Once the setup was done, we just connected to the network and everything was up and running. It was faster. It took around four to seven days to do the complete setup and set up the users.

The implementation process involved a third-party consultant and me.

We deployed it both in-house and through the vendor team.

In my team, I am capable of implementing Sophos. I tried implementing it with the vendor team who didn't have much of an idea and also saw that we weren't getting enough support from the Sophos technical team.

Suppose we have two side-to-side VPNs and we're using cloud servers. For example, my requirement is one public IP. If I go in any server part in the cloud, then I want one IP for sending data, while the other IP would be used for receiving data.

Sophos technical support couldn't help. Suppose we are already configured things on our Cisco router. They had no idea how to move the Cisco device configuration in Sophos. That was a big concern.

We deployed it physically via hardware, particularly the router, and not via cloud.

Our in-house team was responsible for the deployment.

We did not require assistance from outside contractors when we did our initial implementation. We handled it in-house. We did not hire consultants or integrators.

At the time, we used a consultant to assist us in the process. They were quite knowledgeable and helped a lot.

After I started at the company, I have continue doing set ups with my assistants. Sometimes, we get external help. Mostly, we do the setup that we want, because previously it was straightforward and easy to use.

In-House deployment.

The first installation was done by the integrator. In terms of maintenance, at one time, there was a problem with the hardware of the device, and a memory part wasn't configured. They had replaced this memory. That was the only issue we had.

We have engineers who are qualified and we deploy Cyberoam for our clients.

For companies with approximately 200 employees, having two or three system administrators is enough to maintain it.

The technical team that is needed to support the solution depends on the size of the organization. For smaller companies, we only need one technical engineer on our side and IT support from the customer. Larger companies with substantial-sized departments need much more support personnel. Additionally, we need one person from the management because we have to prepare outage times.

We used the supplier's team, who did not live up to our expectations - we even had to assist them in reading the manual.

In-house certified team implementation

We implemented in-house and when we experienced problems, we contacted the reseller to assist.

We used an agent to help us with the implementation.

We do all of the maintenance in-house. 

For any solution that has to pass through Sophos, we do the firewall configuration ourselves.

I did the implementation of the solution which took approximately one day.

The same team is used for the deployment and maintenance. 

We have used consultants in the past for the implementation.

I did not use an integrator or reseller. I worked with someone else.

When selecting a vendor, we always consider the capability to deliver on their technical background.

The first time through the vendor, and the second time our own in house team did it.

I was made to understand that implementation was an in-house arrangement.

I have always installed it myself.

We ordered the device, and our partner commissioned it. We manage it ourselves. There are two persons responsible for the network setup in our company.
