The main use case for Sophos Cyberoam UTM is a firewall. However, it also includes other features such as VPN connectivity and more. The firewall feature has different branches, such as extended firewalls.

I used Sophos Cyberoam UTM as a captive portal and user management software. I used it internally for internet usage.

We use Sophos for handling restrictions and the inspection group. For example, HR and finance sites.

We also use it for implementation with the company portals. When the users need to access any site, Sophos handles the password and the login and all the security devices.

My clients use the solution for protection.

My company uses the product against malware and for URL filtering or blocking of URLs. I wanted a comparison between Sophos Cyberoam UTM and other tools in the market since Sophos does not give you reports of certain sites, meaning that it just blocks a website without giving a proper report. I would like something to be integrated on top of Sophos Cyberoam UTM that will give our company the autonomy to send emails to designated leaders and teams. As the product that my company wants is not available in Kenya or in Africa, my organization is in the process of looking for another firewall that we can use.

We use the solution for VPN, network monitoring, and DHCP for offices with fewer people.

The use cases for the solution are different. It is used by petrochemical companies, government companies, universities, private companies, hospitals, and hotels.

We use Cyberoam just like a VPN, usually as a VPN channel.

When we use Sophos products, we haven't encountered any problems. Some attacks happen, but our customers haven't been affected. No one has attempted to hack their data and steal Bitcoin.

Sophos Cyberoam UTM works as a firewall to prevent unwanted traffic on the office premises.

We are resellers, so when organizations need UTM devices and network security at the gateway level to secure their networks, we recommend and resell this product.

I use it for security, web management, content management, VPN, and site-to-site VPN. I use many features of the firewalls, like intrusion prevention system, antivirus, anti-spam, etc. I use almost every aspect of the firewalls.

It has performed perfectly fine, so far.

Primary use is monitoring. Having a reporting console to monitor the usage of bandwidth. That's the prime concern.

I'm using Cyberoam in close to nine locations.

We are using, for example, IP sets from Kenya to Somalia, a place where we could not get MPLS connectivity. 

We have a secondary server in the Somalia office. I also use it from the Nairobi office to the Dubai office as the MPLS is very expensive and I need to do a backup daily. That is for the IP sec. 

For the VPN, we use it to access our ERP systems remotely from everywhere. Close to a hundred users use it and it has been stable.

I am using it as a firewall for getting the internet for our users. I am using CR100i, which is an old model. I am going to replace this one.

We are a solution provider and Sophos Cyberoam UTM is the main product that we sell. We also use it as part of our own network security solution as well.

The primary use cases are setting data quotas on a per-user level, web filtering, and granting or denying access to resources. In Sri Lanka, the data is always limited, which is one of the biggest problems that we have.

We use Sophos Cyberoam UTM to protect company networks from attacks from the internet and to separate internal networks into different nodes. The Intrusion Prevention system of Sophos Cyberoam UTM protects different networks from attacks from other networks. This includes the company's network or from the outside of the company's networks.

The majority of it is on-premise protecting the external to internal and then we utilize the features inside the Cyberoam XG series like their IPS and their web application firewall to do the filtering as well as their proxy server inside the application control.

We use Cyberoam UTM as a firewall.

It's a UTM device, unified threat management, and we use it for web and application filtering and of course to scan the traffic that comes from the internet to the LAN. Due to the pandemic issues and people working from home, a lot of these devices were configured for the SSL VPN.

It is a good product, but it is being phased out and replaced with Sophos XG line. Now is the time to view other options available.

It is the gateway to the internet connection in our company.
