What is most valuable?

The most valuable features of this solution are the business components. This is a good framework that is very smooth. It is easy to deploy your application.

What needs improvement?

The performance of this solution needs to be improved because it is very slow. There should be a light-weight version of this solution ported to Apache Tomcat.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The cost of this solution is approximately $47,000 USD per site.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I also use the Spring Framework for Forms development.

What other advice do I have?

Oracle technology moves very fast, and many of the Oracle Forms developers will be moving to the Spring Framework. My advice to anybody who is implementing this solution is to get their information from the consultants who work with it, and… more»

What do you think of Spring Boot?

What is our primary use case?

I'm the CEO of our company and a user of Spring Boot. I use the product on a daily basis for business applications. It's great because it simplifies development. Together with MyBatis, they make a beautiful pair for Java development. I'll be developing with Spring Boot in the future.

What needs improvement?

The product could be improved by supporting and integrating Hadoop. A year ago Spring Boot announced that they were removing Hadoop support from the product but many software companies work with Hadoop and Cassandra, and I really think that Spring Boot should renew the Hadoop connection. 

For how long have I used the solution?

I've been using Spring Boot since 2003 when the framework was created.
