I used, for a limited time, ForcePoint DLP and McAfee DLP.

I previously used an appliance called Websense to analyze traffic for data loss. I used other Broadcom tools before Broadcom bought Symantec called Broadcom Proxy and CloudSOC Gateway. I didn't switch from Websense to Broadcom. It was just something I tried, so it wasn't a full deployment. Symantec DLP is head and shoulders above the competing on-prem DLP solutions.

I used Forcepoint and McAfee. Symantec is easier to implement and manage. The coverage is also better. Symantec easily covers email and web traffic. I rate Symantec's detention capabilities an eight out of ten versus seven for Forcepoint and five for McAfee.

We have only used Symantec File Share Encryption and Data Loss Prevention.

I've also worked with Forcepoint DLP. It has a feature that allows for time-based user transfers. 

I've been working with Forcepoint, Symantec,

the last project that we worked on, we worked on the latest version of Symantec. I just can't remember what version was it.

and also McAfee. That's the closest solutions that I've been working with most recently.

I only started learning Forcepoint come 2020, and I have done a POC. However, I find Symantec to be better overall if you compared the two.

I did not previously use a different solution. 

I previously used McAfee DLP at a different company. I'm not sure what my current organization used previously.

This is our original solution. The product was included on our servers that were shipped directly from HP and IBM.

On the DLP side, we do Forcepoint and Symantec. It depends on the client and, and at which stage of the business cycle you are engaged with the end-user. If someone's already engaged with Symantec, then it's no use to follow up on the same product with the client. In that scenario, we go for Forcepoint. If the client is new and we are initiators of the solution, in that case, we prefer Symantec.

We did not have a solution previous to Symantec.

This is the first DLP I've used, however, I am switching over to Forcepoint DLP. I'm not staying with Symantec.

This is the first product of its kind for us. Nobody seemed to know much about this product but we figured out how to use it, and the vendor gave us training, so we have been able to handle it.

We were not using a solution before Symantec DLP.

I used Forcepoint DB and the McAfee DB. I implement all of them, so I didn't switch.
