No issues with deployment, except I wish a version was available for Linux (Ubuntu).

View full review »We were unable to use LDAP or Active Directory, so all server users have to be created locally. Stability and scalability are not issues; we are just trying to grow adoption. Of course, we have experienced some growing pains but that is normal with any new technology.

I've had no deployment issues. With some clients that have "specialized/custom designed environments", it may take a few minutes/hours longer to get everything running, but, Tableau Support has always been there for me.

View full review »I have not encountered any deployment, stability or scalability issues. Although I do run into performance issues with Tableau server from time to time, it is not always easy to identify the root cause.

View full review »I did not encounter any deployment, stability or scalability issues. All product was through the school.
View full review »I have not encountered any issues. Deployment, stability and scalability have been fantastic. We've had a few bugs, two of which were fixed by Tableau support and one took a bit longer and was fixed in a release. However, we've not had long-term outages due to any issues. Installing Tableau is easy. Upgrading the server could be easier, but I think they have addressed that with version 10.
View full review »Deployment and stability have been flawless so far. We’ve not encountered a data set that has slowed the software down and we use records with millions of rows. There is no clear-cut line of determining when best to consider switching over to an enterprise-wide model vs. per license, so there could be a better way of informing their customers on when to flip that switch.
View full review »We have not encountered any deployment issues; still fast and easy overall.
View full review »We currently cannot use version 9 because we have to wait for our Tableau Server to be upgraded to version 9 first.
View full review »I have not really encountered any deployment, stability or scalability issues. Our issues are not related to the function of the tool, but more to do with attitudes concerning looking at data and metrics.

Installation was a cakewalk. Over the last three years, there have been at least eight upgrades and three major releases; all upgraded without incident. Our Tableau Server has been running continuously for over three years. We have had two separate up scales; both were successful.

View full review »No problems at all. Very robust and well documented (both Desktop and Server versions)
View full review »In my experiences, Tableau deployment has been straightforward when deploying self contained dashboards (called packaged workbooks). However, you need to follow multiple steps to deploy a dashboard to your production server from your development environments.
View full review »I have not encountered any deployment, stability or scalability issues to date.
We are planning to increase our infrastructure to support more complex queries in Tableau. We are still in process of integrating R with Tableau. This is one area where I can see problems as R and Tableau both have issues processing large amount of data.

View full review »I developed the dashboard / storyboard for just one user, so I had no issues at all, except the limitation on the table join side.
View full review »At this point, we have not had many issues of this sort. We don’t have a server yet. The only thing I can think of is there not being a warning when multiple people open the same workbook to work on – causing work to be lost in the process.
View full review »Development report publishing to the test server should have pointed to the test DB instead of the dev DB.

View full review »Not really applicable to me, but it still is in the process of scaling to the entire company (3,000-plus employees).
View full review »The connection between Tableau Server and SAP BW can sometimes be unstable and lose the connection, at which point it does not display the query or the hub to which it was connected.
View full review »Once the reports are created, there are no issues at all. The only problem is the speed of loading data. For huge data sets, it takes a lot of time to load data. With Google' Data Studio coming out, they might want to improve this aspect of the tool.

I did not encounter any issues with deployment, stability or scalability. However, I would prefer an updating system within the tool instead of going to the website and downloading newer versions. Also, major updates are installed as a separate software on your PC, which can only be useful in some rare cases.
