The solution’s scalability is good. If you have a license, it's very scalable.

Only two users are good enough for the solution.

I rate the solution’s scalability a nine out of ten.

This platform is very scalable, both horizontally and vertically.

Our customers for Tenable SC vary in size. A smaller one might have 500 or 1,000 assets with two or three users, whereas a larger organization might have 100,000 assets with 30 users.

Tenable.sc is scalable, depending on your on-prem environment and how it is configured. You can scale as far as your configuration allows.

Tenable SC's system can be multiplied by different installations and have on-top management and a single pane of glass. So it can scale with only one system - almost to half a million assets. And with multiple systems, we can have more than a million assets without problems.

It is hard to tell because the size of our organization is not very big. Our license covers a range of assets, from 500 to 1000 assets, which we monitor. From their perspective, this falls within a very low scale.

So, we haven't encountered any scalability issues. Our scale is relatively small; we're not dealing with tens of thousands of assets.

The Security Center is actively scanning every day, targeting different resources with varying scanning frequencies. It operates on a daily basis, generating reports intermittently – some on a daily basis and others weekly. The usage is consistent and spans almost around the clock.

Certain tasks are scheduled during nighttime, while others are executed during the day. Essentially, there's a continuous level of activity distributed over time to avoid creating spikes in network usage.

We use it to its maximum potential but ensure it doesn't overly strain our network resources. There was a problem. When initially setting it up, we needed to be cautious. There's the potential to generate substantial network noise, especially if the agent and scanner tasks are simultaneously active. We had to significantly scale it down and task the settings from their defaults. Perhaps it's partly due to our network's capacity, but we encountered initial challenges in managing the traffic.

It is a very scalable solution. Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.

In my company, we have 20 users of the solution.

The solution is extensively used in our company.

I don't plan to increase the solution's usage since it is used by the security department only.

For our size, it's scalable. It covers all the bank infrastructure and all that we have.

Two or three people from the security team manage the solution, but they extract it for the IT team to take action in different areas, including infrastructure and domain support. So 10 or more people assess the reports to fix the issues.

When you throw in the Passive Vulnerability Scanner, just being able to spit out more hardware if we need it, it seems like it scales well, at least with respect to our environment. When we first had it, we only had a handful of servers powering it and scans took forever. I don't know how many servers we have on the back end powering it now, but it's a lot faster. We've added to it to give it more juice. That's been pretty easy and straightforward as well.

It scales just fine. We're a Fortune 500 company so, obviously, we have very large networks here. As far as we know, it should scale. We don't think we can outpace the scalability of it. There are best-practices that we need to follow, but will this product be able to meet our needs for future growth. We expect it to be able to handle that.

Usage will be increased. There are two parts to the business. There's the business that is our overall corporate business, which is covered 100 percent by the solution. And then there's the manufacturing and design business. On that side, the solution is still growing. We have two contracts with Tenable for their SC product.

Tenable Security Center on the cloud side is preferred in larger enterprises, but Nexpose might be a suitable option in smaller organizations. The POC implementation for the banking sector is lengthy. I prefer cloud-based scanning for its ease and scalability.

We have seen that more and more teams want to get access to the data and get access to their vulnerability information, and it really has helped us grow our program.

It's easily scalable. If you are required to scan more assets then you just request for it to be expanded, such as from two thousand to five thousand. Scalability is not an issue.

The system is used by around thirty-five users including system admins, who ensure that the system is up, and the application admins who are responsible for fixing the issues that are picked up with the solution.

We use it across our entire network so we cannot expand its use any further.

Senior Manager, IT Security at a financial services firm with 5,001-10,000 employees

I did not have any issues with scalability. This is because once you scope the main control, the Security Center box, you do proper saving on the main box in terms of storage. Initially, when we did the first installation, we did not properly size our storage. So, we quickly entered issues. But, since it was  Linux box, we were able to reconfigure and make development for additional storage. Once we did that, there has not been anything that tested the scalability. So, when the growth becomes a little high, we just add a box and provide a scanner. Then, you define the territory within which you can scan, because each scanner can be assigned to a given territory in terms of sub-nets, and so on.

Scaling the solution would be pretty simple. The process would require us to reach out to Tenable to get more licenses, however, that's a pretty simple process. Overall, it's pretty easy. Essentially it'd just be adding a list of all the new IPs into any asset groups that they would be involved in. I don't think it would take much longer than a week.

According to the sizing that we are dealing with in this first stage, it is very scalable.

We have not experienced any issues with the scalability of Tenable SC.

The information security team has access to the solution. The number of users varies from one environment to another. It ranges, from five users to ten users maximum.

The same number of users can easily deploy and maintain this solution, included the access manager, administrator, and anyone who can configure the policies they test.
