Currently, I work closely with the AI and ML team, focusing on frameworks like NumPy.  

At my company, we use Snowflake as a data warehouse. I primarily worked on the ETL side, ensuring data accuracy, governance, modeling, and loading data into the Snowflake warehouse. But it was part of a particular project. 

I've also used Oracle as a source and target, as well as SQL Server. In my experience at Capgemini North America, most clients like Elkhared, Levi's, General Electric, etc., used Teradata as their primary database. 

While the architecture has evolved with new technologies, Teradata remains a powerful tool.

Before Teradata, I primarily worked with databases like Oracle and Db2, mainly in banking. Teradata's advantage lies in its parallel processing, which sets it apart from competitors like Oracle and Db2. The efficiency in handling large-scale data and analytics makes it a preferred choice in my experience.

We previously used IBM, but due to the market requirements, we switched to Teradata.

I previously used SQL Server.

I also use BigQuery and Snowflake. They are more complex, and therefore, it can be harder to integrate using them.

Teradata is a better monitoring tool, and it offers better performance with respect to bigger data queries. However, it continues to lack innovation. 

We have moved from a distributed heterogeneous to a centralized homogeneous environment. Costs, data quality, sharing of information, and supportability were the reasons as to why we switched over to Teradata.

My previous background was with Oracle. I changed jobs and was asked to handle the Teradata team. It was a chance to learn something new and interesting.

This product was already set up when I joined the organization. As far as I know, they were trying to replace SAP BW. There was an SAP BW system, and they were trying to replace it with Teradata. 

No other previous solution for these applications was used.

I have previous experience with Oracle/Informix/Sybase. For large EDWH solutions, Teradata is the best. Oracle solutions are multipurpose oriented and Td is EDWH oriented from the beginning.

Oracle. We switched because of TD distributed architecture and it is the best product for EDW.

Larger data warehouse / reporting and compatibility to analytics.

We never used a previous solution. In fact we migrated straight to Teradata.

Yes, we already had SAP IQ and were using it. We didn’t switch. We tried but it failed.
