TIBCO Cloud API Management Room for Improvement
Monetization is not that great in API management. You need customization. Improvements are needed with sandbox local as well as with monetization. Those features are missing.
The developer portal is totally customized right now, and you need to have knowledge of JavaScript to actually create that. The integration between the platforms is not that great because you need to configure it manually.
Also, TIBCO Mashery API Management does not have orchestration in the API management platform. This is an area for enhancement.
Analytics need to be improved as well.
View full review »We observed delays under heavy load conditions, and without proper tuning, changes could take an extended period to filter and become effective. For instance, adjustments made in the UI sometimes took up to five minutes to reflect in the cache and associated components. It leads to instability, especially when pushing the boundaries of configuration. Therefore, optimal performance may require fine-tuning and expert assessments to ensure stability and efficiency.

The tool is a little difficult to configure because some of its components will be on-premises, and some will be on the cloud. TIBCO Cloud API Management needs to improve its ease of use or installation because the architecture is a little complex and difficult.

It lacks many features at the API gateway compared to other solutions like Google Apigee. However, most of the telecom operators in our region use TIBCO Mashery API Management, and the telecom business is very aggressive. TIBCO also lacks information and experienced resources to deal with the Mashery on-premises.

They can fix some stability issues and probably make it more user-friendly so that not only an IT savvy person but an end-user can also easily navigate through this solution.

The pricing could be improved. It's too expensive right now.
Policy management has been a bit of a concern.
We've had issues with upgrading APIs, however, that could be related to configuration difficulties.

The security needs improvement, specifically, propagation of security to an API. Calling other APIs is something that is missing in the product and that makes us think about going to a competitor.
The solution's interface could be improved, as well as the dashboard, management, and monitoring tools. They're okay, but they could be better.

The way the Agile life cycle works needs improvement. I also want to see more support for open API standards. I want to see some improvement in the protocol transformation. That is missing now. These are the three main issues.
