Provides VM protection with scheduled snapshots and replication

Pros and Cons

  • "The Tintri product line as a whole has freed up a lot of resources from constant administration of legacy enterprise storage."
  • "A better Tintri would be a "cheaper" one to get things started again."

What is our primary use case?

A single pane of glass to our Tintri infrastructure with some Tintri VMstores protecting critical infrastructure with scheduled snapshots and replication to secondary sites.

How has it helped my organization?

The Tintri product line as a whole has freed up a lot of resources from constant administration of legacy enterprise storage.

What is most valuable?

  • Performance
  • The absolute ease of use compared to other enterprise storages.
  • VM protection with scheduled snapshots and replication.

What needs improvement?

A better Tintri would be a "cheaper" one to get things started again. It is pretty simple after that with the elastic pooling features.

For how long have I used the solution?

Three to five years.

How are customer service and technical support?

Support is the best in class.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

After using this product for so many years, it is a culture shock from where we started.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

For plain political reasons, it is rack and rows over all the legacy storage providers finest. Multiple huge NetApp, EMC, 3PAR, and IBM storages, they all have the same old issues.
