Trend Micro Apex One Other Solutions Considered
Every year, the ministry does POCs for other software. We recently did a POC for a Microsoft solution to replace Apex One, but we are fully satisfied with Apex One. One advantage of Apex One is that it's manageable. Once you change the policies, it updates the endpoints automatically.

We did not evaluate other options before choosing this solution.
View full review »We did not evaluate other options because Apex One was already being used in other groups in my company. They were satisfied with it, and it also had better pricing, so we just went for it. We did not evaluate other products.

View full review »We're currently looking for another solution that may be a bit more sophisticated than Trend Micro, so we are currently evaluating other options. We're down to two or three other vendors. Those we've looked at include an upgraded Trend product, Microsoft Defender ATP, XDR, Crowdstrike and MacAfee.
Some of the other products give the capability of virtual sandboxing, endpoint threat detection, automated response, that kind of service.
View full review »Because it is time for renewal, I have been evaluating other solutions to see if I should stay with Trend Micro or if I should replace it. We are evaluating products such as Crowdstrike, Sophos, and Cloud Proxy, but the prices are quite high.

When evaluating Trend Micro Apex One and Microsoft Defender I didn't find any major differences. The benefit of Microsoft Defender is it is well integrated with Azure, Intune, and other Microsoft solutions. Trend Micro is not as straightforward where everything is in place.

We recommend the solution for tighter budgets or use cases that are not too feature heavy.
If a customer has a bigger budget or is looking for a more futuristic product, then we recommend CrowdStrike or SentinelOne.
Customers needing full Linux support should look at Apex' new product called Vision.
